Can anyone recommend a good PR or Marketing agency?

No daft suggestions - serious question.

I've looked at Strawberry (On the website) in Hull, but will consider any UK wide.

Make sure they are industry specific GLP. If they say they can do it, make sure they give you references to show they can, establish the Account Managers background and relevant experience in your industry. Speak to other companies about work this company have done. Make sure you limit their expenses to a daily figure beyond account management. Set a time frame and make sure they present to you what they hope to achieve, how and when.

There are too many 'yes we can' agencies in the market place unfortunately.

Thanks, I know what to look for it's just a recommendation goes a long way in my book. We can't unfortunately have someone who is involved in the same industry. Which has ruled out a few already.

You should have put in a caveat about no daft suggestions saying apart from Hat, as we all know he would come up with one.<laugh>

You could have a word with Ehab.
Apparently he's a whizz at PR and good marketing strategy. :emoticon-0136-giggl

PR or marketing? you need to be clear as to which one you want, they are as different as electricians and gas fitters. Or do you need both?

Sorry in advance if this derails your thread.

    PR or Marketing?

    What industry?

What size and type of commission are you looking to give? I mean, you looking for a large international, large UK based one, or would a newly created one man band suit?

Large UK can be international, but U.K. focussed for now.

It's PR and Marketing the two are intrinsically linked.

It's FMCG for a global company operating in the U.K. Market.

They are directly related, which is why you find most agencies do both roles. I know PR was a large part of my Marketing degree.

Without sounding thick why do you need one if you've got a degree in it? Seriously?

Because I have a different role. It takes up too much of my time I'd rather pay someone else to do it that can focus solely on those two areas.

Ah ok cheers. I can't help then. My niece is a graphics designer and just set up on her own and of no use to you.

I know PR and marketing can and often are linked but they are commonly confused too.

    Good luck!
