Al Ahly manager is reported to be leaving for a club in Libya, with none other but Sven goran erikson linked to the job should he leave. Should we want to buy either Fathi or gedo, could this prove a stumbling block? Money man that Sven is, should he end up there, it wouldn't surprise me if he asked for 10 million each...
Sven was good to you before. He sold you Fryatt and Hobbs on the cheap and let you have Waghorn on loan
Fryatt was top goal scorer last season. Hardly ****e. Nobody has scored anywhere as near as he did this season.
I know it's impossible to know for sure, but if we'd had a fit Fryatt I would have expected him to back 15+ this season. If he'd played alongside Aluko all season I'd expect that to be 20+. He's the only perm player we have who is anywhere near a 'natural goalscorer'.
I'm only talking about when he was with us. He was good and everyone on this board, yourself included, was rueing his injury which cut short his loan spell with us.
He did start off okay with us, though he only played five times, so it wasn't much to go on and over the course of a season at Leicester, he's been poor.
Disagree because he hasn't had a season's chance. He hasn't had a run in the side but when he did he played very well. Take Derby at home for example. He tore them a new one and if it wasn't for the brilliance of their keeper he'd have won the matchball in the first 20 minutes. But then Nugent came on in the second half and scored twice on his return from injury and Waggy never really got back in the side.
He's scored 3 in 28 appearances for you this season and in all 3 games he scored in, the opposition fell apart and you scored 16 goals. I could probably have scored in those games. You were already 4-0 up when he scored against Ipswich, you were already winning when he scored against Derby and you were 5-1 up when he scored against Huddersfield. Proschwitz has made more of an impact, at least he won us a league game and got us a draw in the cup. If he left, you wouldn't give a ****.
So where do I start here? In the Ipswich game he got the biggest cheer of the night when he scored because he'd been playing brilliantly in the games prior to it without reward. He started the game against Derby and was a key reason for us being ahead to start with. Huddersfield was one of the many sub appearances where he was playing second fiddle to Nugent and Vardy (who Nigel wouldn't drop), that was also Wood's first game so he didn't get a chance after either. I'm not trying to say he's had a great season, because he hasn't had a season. He's only had sub appearances. Stats can be covered up and your 3 in 28 appearances does exactly that. He has probably started less than a handful of games. When he did get a couple of starts he played very well (around the Derby game). I would give a **** if he were to be sold because he's a decent squad player for a club going for promotion. Unfortunately I think he will be sold because Derby are supposedly dead keen on the lad.
