Ready for bed yet? How many of you have discussed, or even thought about the task at hand for the boys tomorrow? The reality of life is there is nothing any of us can do except think positive thoughts and use what ever other form of positive thinking is available to us in our hours of need. The kick off probably can't come soon enough for us all and the ones who will be fortunate enough to be there in person will come away from Ashton Gate with very little, if any, fingernails left. Let's just hope that the footballing gods shine on us tomorrow and that the referee and his assistants don't make any questionable decisions that we may second guess in the weeks to come following the season's end. Everything being equal should lead to the outcome that we so desperately need to put an end to a season long struggle for survival and respectability. All City fans for various reasons, other than the obvious, have been put through the wringer this season and although we all claim that we deserve better, sometimes that just doesn't happen and, at least, the end is in sight. To all the rapidly beating hearts of City supporters I urge calm and belief on this last night's sleep before the storm. Rest easily my friends safe in the knowledge that our beloved players are going through the same emotions and, if the truth be told, probably want it more than us, if that is at all possible. Sleep tight one and all!
Yes, last sleep before the big day, I've taken the weekend off leaving Dorset early in the morning and bringing the family to stay at Ma & Pa's, my little Freddie's first match so even extra special for me. God bless all my city friends
Cheers mate, he's all excited...... me too! He knows all the family support the City so its just natural for him to follow in our footsteps..... and a good lesson in life, ups and downs!
hope the young fellow has a great day out and a result to remember. recall my first game with my late father, as if it were yesterday, the smell of beer and tobacco smoke will live with me forever.
One of my brothers is called Freddie and he has been a City fan as long as I've been born, have a good and happy day together tomorrow massive, win or lose,it will still be momentous for him and you....
Cheers you guys, a special day for my family, my Dad will be sat behind us and Freddie said he wants to sit on Papa's lap!
Glad I could be of service by starting this thread. Good luck from Canada Freddie and good luck to all our great City fans on this site. I will just be getting out of bed as the game starts and then will be heading to work at the golf course, but only after the final score is in and our future is secured. Take a look at my workplace - not bad eh! www.eagleranchresort/webcams
Oops that didn't work as I wanted but click on the site for Invermere and then visit the webcam - that's if you're interested on a day like today.
