We've just been slated by Claridge & others on Radio 5. They don't rate Sven. They don't like the spending. They thinks it's no certainty we'll even go up. All opinions and all could well turn out to be true. Fear not fellow LCFC fans, over the next 9+ months we're now a bigger bubble plenty of others want to burst!! Sit tight and get you're humbled responses ready for any bad times.....
Note to self - cross Claridge of heroes list - only believers are aloud - step forward Elliott, Taggart & Dyer F&%K*^ $W*&K% *T^%V ?)(%^&*
Did they case their opinion? Who would they have rated as manager? It's not their money. Do they want the owners to keep it under their beds? And then what? complain we're bringing in the likes of Michael Brown? of course it's no certainty. Nothing is but gives us more a chance of promotion Muppets people just moan for the sake of moaning. they need to get some sex and chill
I don't know what everyone's problem is. Fans and 'experts' alike are continually arguing that us spending money is a hinderence to ourselves. I don't get it.
They spoke for about 5/6 minutes about us. Claridge was particularly uncomfortable with our current progress. The other 3 seemed relatively on the same page as him with quips and comments. All opinions of course, but it seems we really are on a pedestal ready to be knocked off.. TBF they could be right?
http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/9776-CCFC-are-going-into-Admin-on-29th-July im jealous..............
Dissapointed in Claridge, don't give a sh*t about others, but he should have more respect for the fans.
...just got to ask ourselves if any of the other Championship clubs in our financial position would do the same, back their manager with THEIR hard earnt cash, think we all know the answer, well aware that it might go belly up, but for goodness sake you've got to be in it to win it, and we a certainly giving ourselves the best possible chance, just like Cardiff did when they splashed out on Bellamy... pundits, you can stick 'em where the sun don't shine... down the M69...
I'd really like to know what their reasoning is behind saying we won't do well. We may very well crash and burn, but I'd say it's far more likely that we'll do well. West Ham could crash and burn. Brimingham could crash and burn. Peterborough could crash and burn. But why is everyone so negative about us, when us City fans can see good reasons to be positive?
Everyone outside our club wants to see us crash and burn. That will just spur Sven on even more. Aslong as the players, owners, management and fans are all behind the club then we will be fine Steve Claridge is a Leicester legend but a very crap boring pundit. Just think in 12 months time we wont have to listen to him as we will have our Gary
Im Pretty sure Claridge et al had their cocks firmly rammed up QPR's arse last season and all we've done is copy their model, signing proven championship players, so I don't know what their problem is.
Can someone tell me exactly what they said please? I'm not privvy to everything that goes on back home anymore!! Cheers.
im guessing that its this program on the iplayer, if u can listen to it outside the UK, i dont know. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b012gm57 EDIT comments start right near the end 1hr 51m onwards Claridge seems overly critical of Sven tbh
"What were their points? Seriously. " Claridge coughed when the subject started. He was in the background making coughing noise to which the others sort of giggled as they started talking about our situation. Claridge made some very valid points but were all fairly negative. The other pundits (names escape me) all seem to join in. At least 2 minutes was calling on Sven and his money spend spend approach. They even complimented Holloway for taking on Blackpool up where Sven wouldn't have toughed them because their is now money. I get the feeling they all were looking at our Championship status and were worried about Sven walking and the owners walking should we have no success. Too much money spend in the Champ etc etc. Lots of deep intakes of air from Claridge and his "well I just don't" comments. Like I said all were fair opinions, just negative.
I can answer this one, We were favez to go up becos everyone assumed we have the right playerz, True city fans know we would be played off the pitch with the drivel we had after our loaneez left. Thankfully sven IS investing in PROVEN talent and wants MORE dynamic playerz i.e routledge/maynard at the kps. In my opinion all we have to worry about is the strike force, maybe 1 or 2 midfielderz to keep it competitive if things get tough or to give us more shape. Strikerz wanted!
