Now I know our manager and his elfs have not got a clue, why bring on two attackers when you are 2-0 up,why did they not shore up midfield or defence and see the game out.:emoticon-0183-swear

We weren't 2-0 up when Mason came on for Watt - that was a correct call.

Far be it for me to stick up for Slade <laugh> but O'keefe for Gunnar was also the right call at the time when we actually were 2-0 up - both Watt and him had given everything.

I do agree about Macheda for Jones at 2-1 up and a couple of minutes to go - that was the daftest piece of management since Kerslake lost us two points against Sunderland in almost exactly the same circumstances.

I'd have preferred to bring Manga on in place of Jones rather than Macheda. He could have played in front of the existing back 4 and snuffed out Burnley's efforts to equalise and come out of the game with all three points.

Good first half but looked decidedly shaky that last half hour - that's the time for managers to shine and Slade didn't.

Madness to take off a big lump of a guy knowing what was coming.

What idiot gave the free kick away in any event?

The late goal curse strikes again for us meaning we go into negative for the season overall.

    Fulham + 1 point
    QPR + 1 point
    Boro + 2 points

    Blackburn - 2 points
    Burnley - 2 points.
    Rotherham - 1 point.

2 other matters - when did we last score from open play. Brighton away about 2 months ago.

Plus when will we ever have a better chance of winning at our graveyard ground, Bolton? Surely we will if we play like we did on saturday for 75 minutes, with Ralls in the middle, and Watt starts again. Mason was again terrible.
