    Abel Hernandez - Hull

Andy says: It was really important Hull kept hold of manager Steve Bruce after they got relegated but Hernandez staying put - along with Ahmed Elmohamady - has been a huge plus, too. He's got seven goals already this season but it's not just the goals with Hernandez, it's the way that he plays. He clearly wants to do well; he's not feeling sorry for himself or thinking, 'I'm a better player than this, I should be in the Premier League'. His attitude and his appetite have been fantastic.

I spoke to Steve about him recently and that's what he pointed out as well. He said Hernandez was a very good player and goalscorer who wanted to play for him, wanted to play for Hull and wanted to get back to the top flight. I think that's admirable. That's what you want from your top players.

    Hernandez.

I think he's a good player, and there's a lot more to come from him, but he hasn't been particularly great. If you were to take just one from out team, it'd have to be Michael Dawson.

The leagues full top 10 excluding the keeper should be

    Dave Dawson Davies Robertson
    Elmo Livermore Diame Clucas
    Austin Blackman

Andy Hinchcliffe? Get in a proper pundit like Tigerroo.

Not a single defender or keeper amongst the lot! Its all subjective as we all have our own views, but if that's Hinchcliffe's top 10 then he sees to get out more and see more matches!

The article is a thinly veiled advert for the upcoming televised games and nothing more substantial than that.

That really confused me with Moussa Dembele in there, I didn't realise there was another one!

He's not even been in my top 5 Hull City players this season, never mind Top 10 in the whole league...

Andy Hinchcliffe is not the best pundit, prefer somebody like Beagrie

Without Hernandez's goals this season would look very different.

I'd agree with most that Dawson has been our best player but Hernandez has been the only regular scorer, without him I don't think we'd look like title contenders.

Obviously, but he's still not in my top 5.

Fair enough, think I'd probably put him second to Dawson, although I'd have Livermore higher than him if he'd been playing since the start of the season.

Dawson, Livermore, and Clucas have for me been the stand out players of this league to date, Able Abel and Meyler have been close as well, but one man`s rubbish is another man`s gold.

Sky are disagreeing with you. He's been promoted a lot over the last two seasons and has quickly become their number 1 FL co-commentator. He'll soon be doing Premier League games for them, especially if Neville leaves at the end of this season when his contract with them is up.

I never understand how the likes of Sky and BT rank their commentators, Niall Quinn is a perfect example from Sky. I'd sooner hear nothing than his commentary. BT Sport are actually the worst though with Owen/Savage being unbearable to listen to.

I agree about Quinn. These pundits are supposed to be there to give the viewers some insight. Quinn just says the bleeding obvious.

Ridiculous that we have no defenders in that group. We have the lowest goals allowed (8) in all four divisions, the best goal differential (18) in all four, and the best CH (Dawson) by far.

Dawson, Davies, Clucas, Livermore, Meyler and Hernandez should all be in a Championship 11 realistically. We're not top of the table by accident.

Calm down, it's a SSN piece where they picked a good player from several different teams! It's not like they are saying it's the team of the season so far! Goals always get people excited, that's why strikers & attacking players are always mentioned over defenders. If we carry on as we are at the moment & at the end of the season we should see what SSN thinks! If it's not majority of Hull City players, then complain!

What a load of drivel and tosh. Andy Hinchcliffe is clueless and nowhere near as good as Peter Beagrie.

His picks just show how clueless AH actually is.
