Would be a great signing but I would be disappointed if we went above 8.5m for him

Its strapping yellow right now. He's tailor made for us. Ill dare bet he'll get 15 goals next season here if he comes

I believe Wolves paid £7 mil for him and he has done well in a poor team for 2 seasons. Personally don't think £10 mil is a bad price for a guy not yet at his peak and, no disrespect to Wolves, would be playing in a better team.

No doubt there are better players out there but we are not in Europe, geographically we are not London/Manchester so we usually seem to struggle to get players in so if its true and we get him lets give him, our team and MON 100% support.

    Years Team Apps (Gls)

    2004–2009 Hibernian 156 (43)

    2009–2010 Burnley 35 (8)

    2010– Wolverhampton Wanderers 61 (22)

Is this really the goalscorer we need, I really don't think the above stats are that impressive

No, he's not. But he works damn hard, wins alot in the air, and will get on the end of crosses. I like to think of him (if it happens) as our "quinny" type signing, and hoping an "skp" type striker will follow shortly.... pleasebedoumbiapleasebedoumbiapleasebedoumbiapleasebedoumbiapleasebedoumbiapleasebedoumbiapleasebedoumbia

Good point, thinking about what you have said, I think he might do a decent job upfront with JI

if u break it down and analyze it then yes it is impressive.

8 league goals for a Burnley side that went down
12 league goals last year for the worst side in the league. 10 the year before which kept Wolves up.

With Sess McClean Larsson supplying him he'll score goals here. He's exceptional in the air and has a cracking knack of getting on the end of things and being in the right place at the right time which is exactly what we need.
