Newcastle owner Mike Ashley wants seven summer signings - after none in 19 months. Remy Cabella and Alex Lacazette may follow Siem de Jong, Jack Colback and Ayoze Perez to St James' Park.

Nice to see some positive gossip concerning Ashley, even if it is hard to take seriously.
What do you lads and lasses reckon, do you think Ashley really wants all these new recruits, and if we did secure these players would you be happy with that ?

I think he does want plenty of quality signings. It's just that he wants to pay far below what they are actually all worth so he won't get them. Also he wants more players to leave the club than join and for us to make a profit on player trading yet again.

 

There is so such thing as positive news about Ashley unless it's in terms of him selling the club.

I'd be pleased if we are intending to add players even if it is more French B internationals. We need players, plain and simple. The squad is thin, weak and low on quality.
