Does anyone know what the norm is. Like a lot of people my Daughter works weekends and needs four weeks notice to book a day's leave.
I think the norm is they change it to whatever they like and stuff the supporters who go to the games.
They usually provide a starter list of televized games quite early, but add other games at quite short notice depending on importance. Don't know what the BT deal will mean though. I strongly suspect that we will have a match on TV early in season. Disappointing but I'm sure you can get money back if you can't attend a rearranged match.
Don't quote me on this but I did read somewhere that they are supposed to give a months notice when changing league match dates. The notice does not apply to Cup games and I think re-arranged league games.
The BT deal doesn't come in until 2013-14 so it won't have an impact for this coming season. ESPN still have a contract for live Premier League games for this season so I assume they'll continue with showing them at 5:45 on Saturday evenings and more often than not their games feature some of the 'lesser' teams so we may get one or two being shown on there.
To be honest the tv rights really don't mean much these days. If your someone who does not attend games often for whatever reason you will be able to watch every single Southampton game live online next season as were in the Premier League.
No we are prospective new season ticket holders. And no we are not plastics as we were at all except about 3 homes games in last two seasons. On line just not the same is it!!! She will have to play it by ear i guess and if necessary let someone use her season ticket for £30 or so.
