    How was he last night?

One observation I do have, is that's twice vs Fulham and Wigan last 20 or so he's been withdrawn, then the other team have really come onto us strong, with 4 points almost being through away! Is this a funny coincidence, or perhaps does Skuse do a little more than is appreciated at times off the ball aswell?

Gutted I didn't see this at all, soooo happy my operations done! Was sick twice after coming around from the general.

Bru for my mind is nowhere near strong enough. He's fine with a midfield 3 pushed further forwards but further back he appears a little bit of a duck out of water at present. I'd like him out on loan to a league 1 side perhaps to learn the physicality of the English game before coming back a much more rounded player.

Skuse played ok Westy, we were weakened when he went off but i blame that on MM, think he was wrong to bring Bru on but think he got the starting formation/team right, cant have it all ways i guess!!
Glad your ok after op, gutted you was only sick twice :emoticon-0119-puke:<nahnah><party>

I've never been a fan of Skuse, but, to be totally honest, i also did notice that the opposition were by far the bette team once he left the pitch.
This could be a coincidence amongst many other resasons. I think last night was the most positive i've seen him (he actually played 3 or 4 long FORWARD passes, and headed the ball a number of times). He seems to be one of those players that you really don't notice on the pitch, until he gets subbed - maybe thats the sign of a good player, and maybe i've got it totally wrong with him.
As for Bru, i think if we give him time, he could actually become a good player for us. You have to remember where he's come from, and what he was used to playing against. Yes, he does look a little lightweight and a bit out of position, but i'm honestly feel he will be pivotol for us, if given enough game time.

I had to rub my eyes in disbelief when I saw old Skusey make a couple of forward passes!

    Wigan Athletic v Ipswich Town

    Date - 22/09/1914
    Time - just after 8pm
My location - Rileys Ipswich (sitting down)
Accompanied by - Alex, Jono & Harry
Notable event - Skuse makes a couple of attacking, good forward passes

Just felt like one of this time and place moments

So i wasn't the only one that was shocked in disbelief!

Is this another one of the "I saw John Jensen score" moments?

I thought he played very well, done the dirty work but kept the midfield ticking over.

A vast improvement on recent displays.

Bru is fine in the AM role with 2 behind him, further back not so sure!

Off the ball I don't really have any issues with Skuse, he covers very well on the ball is the big issue. He wouldn't get in the team if he didn't work of the ball Mick wouldn't accept it.

He had an okay game last night but that was because he was okay at playing it simple because there were lots of players around him who showed attacking intent, in a 442 he can't afford to show a lack of intent because it makes us unbalanced.

The biggest issue I have with Skuse is a bit like the issue I have with Mick, I think he's a talented player, he could be so much better than what he is but his lack of intent and lack of risk taking really gets on my nerves. I feel like someone just needs to give him a good rollocking, I mean Leadbitter wasn't the most adverturous but i'd rather him in there than Skuse!!

We have looked weaker when Skuse has gone off, in the Fulham game I noticed it was more Hyam than Skuse as for a short period our midfield looked alot more balanced. It's far to early to write Bru off but in the performances I've seen we definitely seem to lose momentum when he comes on and barely gets a touch but to be fair that might just be circumstance and it's very difficult to come on at that stage in a game when you're on the back foot but he does look a little lightweight.
