I have noticed, if you put the magic word " SKUM " as a title. you get more responses, but have also noted a lot of extremly good threads dont get recognition, why is that? I don think everyone is a biggott, this is a football site, for us, and glad of it, so WHY is it about badness????????????? Normally you get a ten percent reply to an article, some very good articles get a damn site less, but I still feel if you read the article, have an opinion. give him or her a biscuit or not, debate, dont just **** off, make your point is all. My point being,,,,,, call people scum. or being obnoxious seems to do the trick,,,,,enter the barcodes.
I always find the ratio between views and comments on a thread to be strange. Dont expect everyone who views an article to comment but surrprises me how many dont.

I think that it is because aticles with Skum in the title are usually written with express intent of winding up other fans. If fans react, the author has achieved his aim of getting "bites". Don't get me wrong, there have been some funny threads on here and the Newcastle board taking the piss out of each other, but there is a distinct difference between these and blatent "fishing" articles. Some people just love getting into an internet arguement, and it always seems to be the same few keyboard warrioirs involved. Don't get me wrong, I love a good piss take and a bit of banter, in fact one of the best put downs was when one of your fans, I can't remember who but I think he has Malone in his user name, was directed at me and all I could do was laugh and acknowledge that he got me. But certain posters just abuse people and call it banter or defending their club. Most have us have read an article that we don't like and have replied. Before we know it we have been dragged into a petty slanging match with other fans joining in to support their club. This is not why I visit these sites and recently I have made a conscious effort not to get involved. Even if a mag posts a serious comment on here it can be taken the wrong way and then the abuse starts, so very often it is better to read the article but not bother to comment, as it isn't worth the hassle. I am not slating your board, but just giving you an honest answer.
I still cringe when I remember coming onto your board and getting very, very angry whn done with the facebook thing, you know the one. I was more emmbarrassed than annoyed but was stitched up like that old kipper. BTW Simon, now you are here, dont fancy taking Biggfella back with you I suppose?
Hi Simon, Agree with you the title of the article will entice certain individuals to post/react whether it be offensive or not. I really cant be bothered to get into a slanging match on an internet forum, but there are a couple of cretins TROLLING MACKEM NINJA and SMALLCOCKDOWNUNDER that visit this board on a regular basis and post deliberate posts in order to get a reaction, the later being the worst. I bet he isn't even a mag but some sad obese kid that just wants somebody to talk too. I have read many articles on your board also that basically slang of mackems most are offensive but I don't bother to reply or post on there because its just not worth it.

If you post a thread with a title Skum then you are bound to attract arsehole like this dumb ****er coming on and spouting pointless drivel. If that was your aim then crack on mate, you will succeed and get many posts but none of them will relate to the OP. Personally i'd rather get just a few posts which actually discussed the OP rather than 100 from the muppets on here.

Bogknobdownunder started 7 threads, 5 on the Mackems Board, 2 on the Skums and before you come back with your 'stock' answer 'educate the educated ****e' trust me, i work with loads oh geordies and they do need educating.
