This guy's been scoring bags of goals in our youth setup Stoke City Facts ‏@SCFCfacts 1h The 2 unfamiliar names for the U21's are David Moli - ex Liverpool striker from Wolves & Peter Skapetis who plays for QPR #SCFC #WWFC #QPR
Sterling Mk2....dont worry we'll sign will keane instead or someone one with equal promise up front like george santos or Danny Shtu Why no youth policy....perhaps harry could answer that. Oh sorry I forgot Charlies back (sometime)....(yes he is class but one striker does not make a premier)
He looked a very good prospect to me. Cant believe we'd let him join Stoke if he's contracted. Mind you this is QPR and Arry doesnt rate any Rangers youngster does he.
If we let this kid go we might as well give up now. It's his type who should be breaking into our team not geriatric wasters we seem to attract like flies to sh*t...
Not all youngsters are ready yet. Look at keane. He has come from United and doesn't seem ready even for the championship. I get the impression redknapps remit is for this year and next at best. Then a new one, maybe be wrong but just a gut feeling. Ps I don't need comments on redknapps performance so far
Skapetis scored bags of goals for the youth team last season, including the winner v Huddersfield at LR in the final which I went to. Cant believe we would let him go.
It may be just a way of giving the lad some game time because the EDS don't have huge numbers of matches so maybe Harold might just want him to be sharpe in case he is needed for the run in............ Nah Harold wouldn't even consider that would he?
As much as I like your thinking, our U21s are also playing tonight (Petrasso and Shariff have scored).
From earlier this season..... Of course it doesn't mean he's any good..... SKAPETIS' WINNING STRIKE PUBLISHED 10:00 15th January 2014 by @officialqpr Striker sends Australia U23s into knockout stages ... PETER Skapetis was the match-winner as Australia continued their 100 per cent start to the AFC U-22 Championships in Oman with a 1-0 victory over Iran on Tuesday. The R's youngster scored the only goal of the game, firing the Olyroos into the quarter finals as Group C winners following back-to-back wins. Skapetis struck 11 minutes into the second half, latching onto a loose ball after Iranian goalkeeper Ali Reza Beiranvand could only parry defender Curtis Good's header from a corner. Under-21s team-mate Aaron Lennox also lasted the full 90 minutes, marking his first appearance of the tournament with a clean sheet. Victory took Australia top of the table ahead of their final Group C match with Japan on Thursday before a quarter final meeting with the runners-up in Group D on Sunday.
He's good alright, saw him in last seasons final against Huddersfield. If he gets expertience he will be the real deal. Sadly I cant see that happeing at Rangers.
I agree but it's a risk for most managers which is why cup games are used, we just don't stay in the cup long enough. I think TF knows they can't fund big names for too long which is why we are pumping Money into the academy.
I was also there Judo and saw some real prospects, even Furlong's lad looked like a young version of his dad. We are treating our young talent so poorly.
exactly, we ship off hitchcock whos been scoring for fun and bring in the totally untested keane who looks completely lost out there.
what about keane then? we bought in someone whos never scored a goal in pro football, our youngster did that in 8 mins this season.
