In those days, you could predict any number of scorers and got one for each. Someone (!?!?!?!) used to predict four nil wins and get f0ur scorers on the sheet. It's called gaming the system and would fall foul of fair play rules these days. Especially when said player was in the second division!!!!

Thank you Martha, that's a kind offer. Regrettably (for you at least), I was put off detached, encrusted appendages that smell of fish when the pier at WSM collapsed.
I of course appreciate that the pier incident was on a far greater scale than your misfortune.

Clingy, you just reminded me that I once slept overnight under that pier with a pal, back in ‘65! I was wearing a popular ‘Bush Jacket’, a light canvas type thingy....bloody froze my three bolllocks too I recall! I’m Alive by The Hollies was No. 1, and you could hear it everywhere. I did a cross country later over the dunes, by this time I had morphed from a young boy, into a handsome man....my looks still prevail! Funny how you remember these things, must have got on a Campbell Steamer, must have been my first adventure....times were different back then! We must meet up and chew the fat one day, we could be great buddies too.....no lovemaking though...no Todge for you, i’m not like that! :emoticon-0103-cool: Bush jacket for sale!

I said to Hank Williams, how lonely does it get?
    Hank Williams hasn't answered yet

I like these lyrics from Leonard Cohen’s Tower Of Song, always reminds me of conversations with Clingy, and Billy5552! :emoticon-0103-cool: Mixing with the elderly eh?

Hmm, does this make Masky the equivalent of Sheff Wednesday, Direby or Forest with this misty eyed recollection of those halcyon days when they used to be the big players in Town but are now sadly bereft of talent and looking slightly shabby and down at heel... Just a ghost of what they used to be?
