The next three days are probably going to be the most critical part of our season so far. A possible six points up for grabs. If our players are serious about the talk of promotion, this will probably be the final chance to actually prove they mean business. Southend tonight lost 0-2 at home to Rotherham and despite the 11 point gap, they have now played two more games than us and if we can pick up the six points over the next three days (which includes Southend) we will still have an additional game in hand to close the gap further. This is a massive and what looks like an impossible task for the Gills to achieve automatic promotion. However, we are Gills and anything can happen. Hessy this is the moment to stop the talking, no more post match interviews and for the team to just get on with doing the job on the pitch. I suppose come 5pm tomorrow, Saturday 11th February 2012, we will know if Andy Hessenthaler and his team are the men for the job, to be further followed by a televised game on Monday. Now is not the time to embarrass us.
Lets hope they live up to it and do the job properly, can't bear us being in League 2 for another year, league 1 is for us.
