Good point gained at Watford, just what was required, as it took two points off their requirement!

    Good News

    Clean sheet.
    Hearty display.
Malky once again chose the correct team for the occasion..
8 points clear of third place.
18 points still to play for, but a maximum of 8 needed.

    Bad News

I gallantly predicted Barnsley to be the historic clincher.

    Remaining Games

    Barnsley home
    Nottingham Forest home
    Charlton Athletic home
    Burnley away
    Bolton Wanderers home
    Hull City away

    Note To Diary

Fifty year wait soon to be over, celebrate!

Champers on ice and ready to go MM. <ok>

However, will not be opened before 5.00 pm next Saturday at the earliest - or more likely 6.00 pm by the time I get home from the game.

Not losing at Watford was an absolute must - only being 5 ahead with hull still to play and 5th place Forest next Saturday, whilst seemingly comfortable on paper, would, given our almost routinely collapse at this time of the year, have had me biting nails.

However, the position we are in now, where if we win our game in hand we only need 5 points from 5 games, really is a strong one and whilst I would never say its a done deal until the maths says it is, it really is looking good.

A win on tuesday and i will put the champagne on ice. A win next Saturday and the fat lady will start warming up her vocal chords...

We're Cardiff City, we're top of the leage :D

Hopefully you're already Champions and we're already Promoted by the time you visit the KC and we all have a massive Promotion Party!

I hope to god we are already promoted by the time we visit you!!! Isnt it the final day of the season?! We generally dont fare well when needing something on the last day of the season, so for my sanity's sake I hope promotion is sorted long before then and our first team are already on holiday enjoying a well earned break! Couldnt give a monkeys who wins the division, so I would love that last day of the season to be a hugely anticlimatic waste of 90 minutes between 2 sets of reserve teams while the fans look forward to the premier league!

    We can hope :)

Candy - it's both ours and yours to lose mate.

Watford look like they're running out of puff on the run in. A very good Championship side, but apart from Cassetti and Deeney, they looked jaded against us last Saturday. Hogg coming on made a difference for them and he added a lot of presence. We were more than happy with the point in the end, but if we'd continued to press them higher up the pitch and not settled for it second half, we might have gone all the way and won it. Pure speculation of course.

Watford look to have three relatively easy games on paper next up against relegation strugglers, but the game is played on grass not paper.

I expect them to drop at least 4 points to put us over the line before they play Leicester, and you in pole position for the other auto spot.

I want a mini purple patch of 3 home wins, then I will start partying, until then I will continue to sit in my corner biting nails and chanting "c'mon my precious, c'mon, my precious, precious....."

Watford didn't look anything special when they beat us. We were hit by injuries and suspensions meaning we had to field a weakened side. We had Alex Bruce (Centre Back) in Defensive midfield!

Deeney looked class although he is a cheating tosser.

We have games against relegation fodder too, Ipswich, Wolves, Barnsley and Bristol City all the way up until we play you guys at the Circle.

We need to regain consistency and hopefully Fryatt is back from his Season long injury to be on the bench vs Ipswich, giving us some firepower finally.

Good luck to you guys 'till the end of the Season, see you in the Promised land next Season. <ok>
