Trying to do some work but decided to have a look at the match reports on nufc.com. This came after our 5-1 win at home to Blackburn. Cracking Sir Bobby, he may not be trying to be funny, but he certainly came across that way!

    Sir Bobby said:

"It was very important for us to win today. With Chelsea winning by five, had we not won today, it is reduced to four points.

"It's still seven, one more game played, one game less to play, so there's seven games to go, 21 points and Manchester United to come here.

"Having seen them win and Chelsea have won, we had to win today. It's been a good day for us - it's been a great day for us.

"To win 5-1 after Wednesday night is brilliant. I just hope the crowd stayed in and saw the goals at the end.

"Before the game, I thought if we can again just win 2-1 like we've done a lot of the games this season, just one goal more, I'll be happy. We played spasmodically actually, but when we were really good, when we had spells of good play, we were brilliant."

    About the early leavers:

    "When will they learn?"

"I feel like saying to them: 'Do you realise what you are watching out there? Don't leave early, it is brilliant stuff'."

    "It's great entertainment, isn't it?"

"We have to get them here early in case Alan Shearer scores in 10 seconds again and make certain they wait for their tea because they might miss another grand finale.

About Griffin's crunching tackle on team-mate Dyer:

"Well, Andy should have been sent off then!"

    About Dyer:

"I have never known a player like Kieron and I've been in the game a couple of years."

"Never has a player run so far, so fast and so consistently as Kieron Dyer."

"He was amazing for the fourth goal. His speed and his penetration is a wonder to behold."

    We miss you Bobby!

I'd never been upset when anyone outside of my family and friends had died.

The death of Sir Bobby broke that trend.

A top top man who will never be forgotten

Why do you feel the need to resort to petty digs on a thread like this?

It is not banter, it only serves to piss people off.

    Well done arsehole

and you are calling me a hypocrtical turd because???????????

I have never said a bad word about Bobby Robson. I have never booed him or his team. I never wanted him to be sacked and think that it was one of the biggest mistakes FFS ever made.

But don't let the truth get in the way of your pathetic little opinion.

Its so irritating when people take rivalry to a pathetic new level. He will run off and tell his mackem mates what a great job he did over here. Twat.

    Sir Bobby would slap him.

No, I will leave it up. But why don't you go cry back to your mackem chums, go and tell them what a mean moderator I was, and make sure you tell them the reason why I deleted your comments, because you were disrespectful to a great man and it was totally unnecessary to aim your petty little digs at us in this article, not to mention sad. Yep, I am such a bastard!

Just ignore the bulls knacker Badge, even true Sunderland fans came over in their droves to pay respect to the great man.

Got loads of photo's of shirts that were left by them and people from just about every club in the country and plenty from abroad too.

I was amazed when I went to the ground for him. It was only the second day it was open and I struggled to get my shirt in amongst the others. It was great as well as sad to see it all. I then went to sign the book, which I had to wait about half an hour to do but was well worth it. I hate Freddy Shephard for what he did. I got some photos on my phone, did you take your camera?
