I seriously thought MCFC would have run away with the title by now, they have a better squad, I bet with Sir Alex in charge they would be champions. Mancini is weak. Winning the championship this year is arguably the most impressive EPL title United could have, less money and an inferior squad. Sir Alex has installed a winning mentality into your whole club which is something City lack, I would not be surprised if the same thing happens next season. Winning the EPL is not just about spending lots of money.

Sir Alex Ferguson is the best manager of all time.

The reason why we've done well this season is because we've won more games than them and we have a winning mentality.

    Really misguided.

The team to stop City winning the league this year will be Manchester City, certainly not United. City just had to keep it going, it faltered, fair enough can only blame themelves not credit Fergie for City's failures in the home straight

Typical ABU. United never won the league. It was their rivals who lost it. SAF bullied his opposite number or the ref gave it to United. Whatever.

Your comment does not make scene
As UTD are 5 points clear its UTD that will stop UTD from winning league.
Mancini has failed to control his team, so he is weak, he cant compete with SAF mind games and so is weak

SAF is the master and you know it.

Actually I agree with you 100%

Fergie can only manage his team, City have plopped their pants

Some people will look for any excuse not to give Man Utd praise.

We're on track for a record number of points ffs.

The overall record is 95 (Chelsea).

Man Utd's record is 91 points.

If we win all of our remaining games (a big IF I'll admit) we will be on 97 points.

What are you talking about? I specifically said it's United's winning mentality that has won them the league. I never said City lost it. I was actually paying United credit. Serious paranoia here.

That's a particularly facetious argument, even for you. You could say that about any club - the team to stop Liverpool winning the league this year was Liverpool, they just had to keep winning games. The team to stop Wolves winning the league this year was Wolves, they just had to keep winning games. Etc. Etc.

Fact is City's form would have been good enough to win the title in almost any other year, including last year and probably the year before too. Utd have just been better so far.

Im not sure our squad is as inferior as many think. Sir Alex has undoubtably given us the edge, but he can only extract what was already possible from some underrated players.

For a study in inferiority observe Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal. This United team is superior enough to piss all over our traditional rivals even having on average 10 injures most of the season.

As a squad United have a surplus of quality. How many teams can boast a 4th choice striker of Berbatovs ability? or a 5th choice CB of Jones' potential? Is Nani still injured? who cares when you have Young and Valencia tearing everything up! and good old three lung as backup.

If SAF can sort out the CM issue for next season then look out!

SAF got the recipe for the premiership. If he has got a decent squad he will always be the man to beat. All he needs to do now is how to win in that blasted CL...

However much this thread was meant to be positive about our manager the idea that our team is terrible is becoming very grating.

In terms of CM its the position we've been saying we need singings in for a few years so i doubt it will actually happen at this stage. I wonder what difference Cleverly could make with a full season. He was fantastic before he was injured.
