However, within a matter of weeks the Yorkshireman was replaced by Mark Hughes. Unfortunately for Macheda, he was not in the Welshmanâs plans but he did not help matters when he was fined £15,000 by the Football Association for posting a homophobic Tweet. He has recently returned to United for treatment on an ankle injury, ending his loan spell with QPR. It is now the second time the 20-year-old has endured a frustrating loan spell after his stint at Sampdoria saw a changeover in managers within weeks of his arrival, but Sir Alex feels luck is not on the strikerâs side. He told MUTV: âHe is so unlucky. âI have complete belief in the boy. He could be an outstanding player. But he needs football. âWe put him on loan to Sampdoria last January. He was there for two weeks, they sacked the coach and he doesn't get a game. âWe put him on loan to QPR. Two weeks later they sack the coach and he doesn't get a game. âThat has been really unfortunate.â The former Lazio youth player joined United in 2007 and has made 19 appearances for the Red Devils. However, Macheda will have to wait until next season to play again after the 70-year-old revealed the attacker is to undergo surgery. âHe has been bothered with his ankle a little bit over the last few weeks, so we have done the right thing to get an operation and hopefully he will be ready for next season,â he said. *** He did get a start under Hughes v MK Dons and he was ****! ***
I think he's just telling whoever watches MUTV what they want to hear. I'm sure he knows that he's a useless lazy twat and will get rid as soon as possible. There's no doubt the kid has a bit of talent, albeit nowhere near as much as he or United fans from Esher who saw him on the television for two minutes about three years ago think, but an attitude to rival Leon Knight.
Two loan spells, two managers sacked shortly after signing him. Does that suggest it's only managers that behind closed doors are in fear of losing their job regardless of public votes of confidence that are turning to him in desperation?
He did show a glimse of real talent against MK and he didn't get much playing time with us, but he needs to do a hell of a lot more. Ferguson ain't going to say much else now anyway.
