The club have announced the signing section for next year.
Another good move by the club in delivering what the fans want.
okay so some fans who don't want to sign may have to move but the collective atmosphere will be strengthened which can only be good for the team.

    Who are we signing for?

Is there any signing on fee?

How long is the commitment for and what is the pay and how is it paid?

I would worry that they won't be seen or heard up there. If it spreads to the whole of the back of the Gallowgate stand then it would probably work but I guess that would take next season or beyond to move people.

I have to admit it's slightly embarrassing that they've got to introduce a singing section at all. The whole bloody ground should be a singing section.

So the flags are going to be at the back of the stand
Yeah that will make a good visual impact

And there was me thinking the point of going to a live football match was to chant/sing/enjoy oneself. Silly me, there's a tiny little section for those idiots, and lots and lots of room for people to sit, think calm thoughts and check Failbook updates.

    Phew. All is not lost.

they might also have flags but this is about the singing section. Gallowgate flags are a group on their own and will be the same as last season, better actually

Sadly the all seater age has created the theatre like sterile atmosphere everywhere at home games but a lot do join in if spurred on by others so a dedicated section can hopefully help that to happen. Safe standing would be even better and hopefully is coming but this is at least a creditable effort for a start for now and those behind it deserve some credit

The singing section will have the clubs backing until they turn against Ashley like when the old Level 7 mob did
then disbanded and flung across the 4 corners of the ground
Also not sure of what the view would be like from back there
but looking at the map I wonder how many would be able to see where Ashley sits
Even from my view, low down in the Leazes end I still can't see the back of the Gallowgate
due a rather large sponsor, eh! freeloader, sign

why not relocate in section R on the opposite side which has the same number of season ticket take up as section V
it would merge in with the East Stand Corner.... oh wait though........
but this would be in full view of the TV cameras and Ashley

well I suppose out of sight is out of mind

Good points. Hopefully it will spread into the adjoining sections which are also far from full and contain some singers anyway and then gradually reach over towards the corner which hopefully will also spread into empty seats in adjoining sections as they become available

I'm pretty sure you can't see the away fans from the top section of the Gallowgate. Clearly the idea for being at the back of the stand is to make noise and encourage those in front to join in more. Potentially get the whole stand singing. Well see how it goes but I suspect half of those who are already in the corner will move and half won't so you might get a watered down effort in both areas. The following season it might take off more?
