Let's just take a step back to look at where we actually are... WOW! While things do obviously have the potential to go belly up, I just thought I would take a moment to appreciate where we are, and how far we have come... From those dark days of relegation to League One... From losing in the playoffs to Cardiff, in such a cruel fashion... From messing about with managers, false dawns, a mid-table finish in the Championship... From winning 2 out of about 20 matches, finishing 6th in the Championship, and losing to Watford in the playoffs in an arguably even more dramatic fashion than the Cardiff game... Finally returning to the Promised Land after a 10 year absence... From being bottom in the Premier League for so long, destined for relegation, only to embark on an epic end-of-season run to survive in 14th place... All of this has lead to here, where we are right now... 2nd in the Premier League (albeit after only 3 games!) Especially compare where we are to our greatest rivals in Forest, Derby and Coventry... Shame there are no posters of theirs on this board! Anyway, this is the most excited I have ever been as a Leicester fan, and the most optimistic... Let's sit back and enjoy the ride, wherever it may take us
Well said Jack. I said in other posts that these are exciting times for Leicester City. We are lucky to have incredibly ambitious owners and we have made some extremely astute signings this summer which hopefully will take us to the next level of mid table. I look forward to watching the style of football we play, with so much pace. I think the highs and many lows of being a City fan over years gone by makes us appreciate these good times we are currently having. Like you said..very early days this season but the signs are promising for sure. Now watch us go and lose to Bury tonight
Yes, I made this thread knowing full well that it may come back to bite me But, if you can't sing when you're winning, then when can you sing, eh?
I don't want the rollercoaster anymore, we have good owners this time round in the prem, so lets try and establish ourselves as a premier league club for the next decade, even if it does involve a couple of hairy 17th place finishes
