    Trevor Sinclair is due in court today to face a raft of charges.

    He will appear at Blackpool Magistrates' Court charged with offences of driving while unfit through drink, assault on a policeman, racially or religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, criminal damage to property under the value of £5,000 and indecent conduct in a police station.

    Sad for him. Sounds like he was stopped and had a complete tantrum during which he said and did some pretty stupid things. Reputation ruined and job lost at the BBC. Sounds like this could have annoyed him earlier in the evening;

    'Nick Freeman, representing Sinclair, said the catalyst for his behaviour that night was being subjected to racism in front of his family while out having a meal hours earlier. Freeman said a woman had approached Sinclair, patted him on the head and called him a “little chocolate man”.'

    Hmm. The little chocolate man bit doesn't ring true - sounds like something Max Clifford would have dreamed up. Clifford's spirit obviously lives on in "Mr Loophole" Freeman
