Any ideas why these two (especially Simpson) haven't yet found a club? Is Simmo training/keeping fit with Arsenal or anything? It seems harsh on him that he doesn't have a club after the amount of effort (albeit lack of finishing) he put into each game.
Shame about Simpson - for his work shown on the pitch, he deserves better. Surely some cockernee ne'er-do-wells will sign him.
Olofinjana was training with Sheffield Wednesday, but I don't think they offered him a contract. I think I read somewhere that he's had offers from the MLS, Turkey, Norway and South Africa.
I can't believe Simpson doesn't have a club, ok he was a bit loose in front of goal but he played a major part of helping the 2nd best team in the championship finish 2nd, he's a tidy, tidy player with great feet and fairly quick and strong to add to it. Even if he doesn't score 20 goals a season I'd bet he's a damn sight better than what a lot of teams have up front.
Agreed. He plays a big part and cos his contract is up gets released. Contrast with Mclean, minute part, one goal i think and he gets to double his wages. Life's a bitch eh
I bet he's totally peed off all the others get a big rise for getting to the premier league and he gets freed mind you he worked is head off but wasn't good enough for the premier league having said that quite a lot of our other reserves aren't good enough either
Completely agree. I'm very surprised that no Championship team has picked him up yet, or a top League 1 team for that matter. He seems to have gone a bit under the radar.
Big surprise that Simpson hasn't been picked up. Looked a real player partnered with Aluko early last season. As for Olofinjana the lazy sod I wouldn't have him on my Club team....what a waste of money he was.
