Simpson insists Newcastle can cope without Ba

“Ba has been very dangerous. It took him a few weeks to settle in but he’s been fantastic and he can score any type of goal.
“We’ll miss him, but Ben Arfa will be full of confidence, Leon Best has been doing well of late and we’ve got Shola Ameobi as well.
“We’ve got other strikers who can score us goals. We knew Demba would be away for a few weeks and we’ll just have to deal with that.”

 

I agree with him. Obviously we'll score fewer but Ben Arfa's getting up to speed and Best isnt scoring because Ba is beating him to chances (I know that sounds odd, but for a few of Ba's goals Best is standing right behind him waiting for the same cross) and Shola can chip in with one or two. Not to mention Prior

Also, Simpson wouldnt exactly go and say "nah we're ****ed when Demba leaves"

 

Cannot believe how much people have been getting on Best's back lately. When Demba's gone Best and Ben Arfa should be a pretty good substitute and even Shola chipped in with a couple last year! Hopefully in fact by the time Demba's back he should have to fight his way back into the side.

 

We are lucky in that we are not playing anyone especially brilliant although this is based on me believe all our players return before the spurs match.
