    'Goalkeeper set to sign'

    Hallelujah.

Fielding and Parish are utterly useless.

Best goalkeeper in league 1 last season and just missing out on promotion with Brentford. Loads of Prem/top championship teams wanted to sign him in the summer. Obviously not being used at Cardiff so we're doing really well if we get him!

Yes, we do need one. Parish was always a No2 in the plan but has been used by necessity. A sound GK will give the defence confidence, which again is much needed.

    Yes and me<cheers>

The two guys we have do not fill me with confidence at all.
As a club we normally have good keepers.

Heard many good things about him but never really seem him play myself, think this is a good option as I think Parish has been given the number 1 slot more out of Fielding's errors than his quality and he has made a few mistakes recently.

4 Cardiff keepers in 18 months

    Tom Heaton
    Elliott Parish
    Dave Richards
    Simon Moore

To be fair 3 of them have never played for Cardiff and 1 was there number 2...

He's only joining on loan <laugh>

But I would like to see a new keeper Parish needs to be taken out the firing line. I would even start Fielding this weekend. Parish is still a bit raw and needs to work on distribution and commanding the area. He either hoofs it or when Baldock makes a good run away from his marker Parish then decides to pass to either RB or LB. Indicates to me he takes the easy option and won't take full responsibility.

Be interesting to know Cottrells opinion of Fielding. He has been waiting patiently, but he is nothing like the keeper who sat on the bench for England only 3 years ago having played for the U21s.The fact he is looking for someone to come in on loan, suggests to me that neither keeper fills him with confidence.

Its a position that I struggle to see why we have problems. To begin with there was Basso, whatever went on, he has only played a handful of games since. Henderson was reduced to a 3rd choice when David James arrived. Left, and ended up at West Ham.

We let Dean Gerken go, who now plays week in week out in the Championship. Heaton is currently pushing for promotion to the Premier league. Even Chris Weale and flapper are playing regularly.I don't recall receiving any money for any of them.

We will need a good first choice keeper, what ever division we are in next season. It probably is our key area now rather than any other position.

Think parish and fielding are history.

SC obviously does not rate the two of em.

Parish costs us ten minutes a game whilst he take his time when releasing the ball.
    Fielding is a headless chicken.

If Fielding could field and Parish could parry, we would be fine :emoticon-0138-think
