He tweeted that it was nice to help out his old side. Good lad! Let's hope he can play a part in ending Reading's run in midweek too.

This is what he said on twitter : "Was nice to coincidently help out my old team #thesaints aswell...with @adlallana1 notching a brace, well done lad"

He also replied to Lallana when Lallana asked him to do the same against Reading midweek: "@adlallana1 haha we'll be having a right go mate..."

    I think Simon´s still a Saint. ;)

...If they get a positive result against Reading then we owe one to Donny BIG time.

Good for Simon. I saw his assist too.

In another league, Jonathan Forte scored a perfect hat-trick for Notts County, well done him, and Reading loanee Michail Antonio scored for Wednesday - his 3rd goal in a week. He gave a familiar celebration, which brought back good memories. He continues to confuse me as to why he can't be a regular starter for a club which appreciates his contribution which, in his match was apparently outstanding. Reading don't seem to need him or know what to do with him.

I always rated Gillett as a player, one of 3 youngsters to emerge with any credit from me from the Portvliet season. Shame he never got a chance under Pardew

Yes, a real shame. Such a quality player. So much better than Hammond, Chaplow, Schneiderlin and Cork.... Oh wait.

Umm at the time of Pardew, the only CM's we had were Wotton, Schneiderlin & Gillett so my argument is valid
