Simon Gillett signs

Nottingham Forest midfielder stays until the season's end.
Simon Gillett has put pen to paper on a loan extension, keeping him at Ashton Gate for the rest of the 2013/14 season.

The Nottingham Forest midfielder moved to BS3 on loan in November to get regular match action under his belt.

Since then the 28-year-old has gone on to make ten appearances for the first team with impressive displays – and that’s will now be able to continue.

City manager Steve Cotterill said: “Central midfield is where we feel we are a little light and actually somewhere we’d like to strengthen.

“Simon’s a great professional and a tidy, intelligent footballer. He reads and understands the game well.”

Gillett is so weak SC will have to pick Marv and Pack to cover the useless tw*t.
Unwise to play Gillett and Reid so will also stop the progress of Reid.

Havn't seen that much of him (probably 'cus he is only 2ft 6 inches tall?) but he does seem to have a decent touch.
No David Beckham mind you, but I would say good enough for our lot.....we are Bristol City, at the wrong end of L1 remember, so probably about as good as we are currently likely to get.

 

I must have the wrong player, the Gillet I have seen has put in a few strong displays so far, so not the space marking we have had from NK and LJ he harries and tackles and has been known to pick out a pass. What more do we want at this level?
