    Hi all

    Just seen that Simon Gillett has gone on trial with Portsmouth to Spain.

    Anitial thoughts? I didnt really rate him much

    I thought with a bit of training and experience, he could become a good player. Wish him well for whatever he does.

    Maybe Claus should do some community service with the pomp, but theres no other exSaints I'd want to see there. The shame.

    He was never the best player, but you cannot say that he didn't put in the effort. For that reason alone I liked the lad.

    The amount of effort he put in always impressed me, but his passing was often poor and he'd get worn out before then end of the match. But saying that, he played during our dark times where most of the team struggled.

    Saw him as a ball winner/spolier, but with Spiderman in the sqaud he didnt really have a hope. Sad that he's fallen so far as to need trials with pompey, but good luck to him.
