Martin Gore of Depeche Mode has suggested that the X Factor and the other generic 'reality shows' are destroying the chances of new bands to make their mark on the industry.

I agree completely, but then if he really feels this way, why did he give Cowell permission to let Susan Boyle cover a Depeche Mode tune?

Never mind... so do you think Gary Barlow is simply milking the X Factor for his own ego/personal wealth or do you think he's really of the belief that he is helping 'give birth' to bright new musical talent?

 

Given that I'm older than 14 and don't watch X Factor or buy music produced by ****ers and aimed at ****ers I really have little care what ****e fills the charts.

The charts have always been full of ****e, X Factor or not.

 

I hope to **** this isn't going to be another 51 pager!

Well, if you know nothing of the subject matter and furthermore have no opinion on the people involved, it does beg the question of why you bothered writing anything at all?

 

It's all fine n well having standards/opinions but it's amazing what big fat royalty cheque will do them ...
