No, not Benny looking great again, not Perch and Gosling making us think twice.
No, now, after three months, my filthy, stinking shirt can finally be washed!!!

I can now wear my away shirt at matches. <diva>

I've came to the conclusion that I should swap shirts every time we lose. <ok>

I think the real silver lining is that now the first defeat is out of the way, there will be no more stupid ****ing media coverage suggesting we've "not played anybody yet" or even worse that "Newcastle United haven't been tested yet" <doh>...

Frankly, those sorts of headlines were pissing me off - every half-arsed Journo' making excuses for our lofty position. <grr>

    Well, we're still 3rd so **** em! <ok>

All the coverage of our "Unbeaten Run", and "First Real Test" was beginning to feel like a noose around our neck. One wise match commentator agreed it was wrong, and rightly said it was disrespectful to the teams we had come up against.

  9. Probably the best thing this loss has done is relieve the expectation. I know that most of you on here were saying that you didn't expect to maintain the heights you had reached, but (sadly) that cannot be said of a lot of Toon Army lads that I know. They were getting proper carried away, and even felt upset that you could only manage a draw with us (instead of seeing that as a great result). With matches against United and Chelsea to come, you should find yourself below 'Pool, in 7th, with is (realistically) where you should finish this season <ok>

If that happens, I expect them to finish top 4 as it would mean they have beaten City and Chelsea as well as Fulham.....

Sorry but you know nothing about the toon coming out with that guff are your expectations lower after getting stuffed by the same team 5-1 at HOME ...didn't think so.
I think you'll find we all still on track for a top ten finish and a bloody good season it will be if that's achieved.oh by the way top ten is what we want none of us thought about champions league/euro league next season.

  16. Sadly, I do.

Every team has its idiot-support, and yours is not immune from that, I'm afraid.

Not that I deride dreaming. I've done a fair amount of that in my time. Being a Spurs fan, I've had many years of dreaming.

  17. Huh?

QWOP said that 'Pool had beaten City, but they haven't.

We, of course, demolished 'Pool at the Lane, not so long ago, so they definitely won't be finishing above us this season. Their days as a major force in English football are well and truly over, and will remain so for as long as Queen Kenny remains in charge <ok>

He was saying, for Liverpool to be above us after the next two games, they'd have to beat those teams (and we'd have to lose)
