With the windows now closed, Who would be your signing of the season? For me its Quinn, on the cheap (allegedly) he was a breath of fresh air when he came in and his link up play on the left with Brady is nothing short of beautiful at times.
Has to be Gedo and possibly Boyd as it will be their goals that have give us the chance to get automatic promotion. Brady and Meyler quality buys that will seems cheap in years to come, Elmo on loan outstanding, Quinn ridiculous price and now hitting form again.
This^^^And i'll add Stockdale to that list,you know what a worry the keeper position was before we signed him. Wouldn't like say which one was the best signing though.
Elmo (if loans count) - quite simply playing in the wrong league. A strong premier league wing back, can defend, can cross with accuracy - and makes it look easy. The number of top players we have secured purely because we have SB as manager is amazing
You've got to give it to Bruce, his player recruitment has been fantastic bar Proschwitz. His signings have taken us to a new level, which can be seen when you compare our team this season to our team last season.
Depends what you look at - value or impact? For value Quinn but I'd argue we would still be a good team without him. However if you take Elmo out we'd be a much, much worse team. For me he's our most important player considering the formation we play.
I can't remember the date, but the emergency window is still open for a while(a couple of weeks I think).
i know it doesnt look probable, but i wonder if there's a 'super sub' temporary replacement striker out there, as i dont think simpson is the right man to be bringing on as we did yesterday. steve bruce doesnt seem to like proswitch, or are there some terms in the '£2.6 million' deal based on appearences which may favour a temporary big name?
