Hi gooners - my mate (Arsenal fan) has a signed Arsenal shirt which he has had proffessionally framed and signed by most (about 15) of the current squad (inc Theo, Arshavin, Fabregas, etc) and he is going to auction it off for charity when he runs the London Marathon. The frame itself cost him ã130, it has the certificate of authenticity too. What do you think he can expect to get for it and do you have any ideas of where (except not606) he could promote it? Cheers (BTW gutted for you on Saturday)
My first thought would be eBay. My second thought would be surely he could get Arsenal FC to promote it to their fans / fan clubs? I'd have thought the club would be willing to send the details on to supporter mailing lists, or even on the website, if it's for charity? Even if the club won't do it, there are lists of supporters' clubs here with e-mails and phone numbers: http://www.arsenal.com/supportersclubs Phone / e-mail all of of the UK based ones (maybe Ireland too) and you could reach a few thousand fans, and you only need one of them to be an obssesive collector / philantropist to hit the jackpot.
