What is it with Wenger ?? Sign some players already. He bought the kid from Charlton and Gervinho .. are these signings supposed to convince the players and fans that we are going somewhere ? Are these supposed to ally fears that the club is tumbling further from the top ? Its not hard to buy players - especially those who want to come here. If we do buy players they would've missed at least half of pre-season, what's the point of that ?? why buy players who then miss pre season ? I would've thought buying players early and not waiting until the last minute for bargains would be the better option - especially if they are moving to a new league, new country, they need time to adjust to English football. Wenger is getting on my last nerve !
Listen .... Arsenal make it difficult to buy players ... there is always one palava after another. You heard Wenger say nothing will happen until the end of the closed season and that will because people will start panic buying. With an attitude like that is it no wonder we take all day to buy players ??? Offer the money the clubs want and the players leave. Be a tight wad .. as Wenger usually is - understandably in the past but not now - and transfers take ages. Samba and Cahill want to leave, we know how much the clubs want, pay the money and get the deal done, stop faffing around trying to be smart and save a mill ! FFS
couldn't agree more with you hothead - but we know it's not gonna happen... i'd love it when wenger's sacked whoever takes over just comes in does a "BISH-BASH-BOSH" i.e. buys the players we've be screaming for...pays the money the clubs want..and turns our players from powerpuff panzies to grown men - this would completely show up wenger because at the end of it we would win silverware i'll keep dreaming...maybe my kids will see that dream come true in their lifetime!!
I read that ADE is to pay £300k for not training? Could we encourage some of ours to refuse to train - we'd soon have a few grand for Wenger to offer to some N.African 12 year old who dreams of playing for us. Might even be better than some of our bench-warmers.
Don't think either is worth anywhere near the money being touted around for them. If I wanted to but a curly wurly and I was told it cost me £10 I'd tell the vendor to f*ck the f*ck off. Same deal here which is why we've so far told Barca to do one with Cesc. I share everyone's frustrations with the lack of news but to imply the transfer market is easy is daft. Sure you can buy someone but buying right is another matter.
