I watched a thing on TV last night, it was on the news or I read it in a paper, (I can't really remember which) but it made me bloody furious. Some bloke or some woman done something which they should'nt have and they interviewed several members of the public who said they were really angry about the whole thing and I can understand why. I was outraged and angry and confused and I have only just calmed down now, it's absolutely ridiculous how people get away with this type of behaviour and we really need to introduce the death penalty again, or birching, or at a push, set up "stocks" in every town centre and a ducking stool would certainly be a welcome sight. A return to good old British values is what we need at times like this. I would like to think the Government would take action to stop this sort of thing happening again in future and we need to send a clear message that actions - like this man or woman committed- will simply not be tolerated. I plan to start an e-petition which will be sent to David Cameron or something, so would any of you who agree with me please sign my petition. To get Cameron to act I only need 250,000 signatories so if you could pass this information onto friends, family, workmates, total strangers and even bitter enemies that would be most helpful. So if you like me want to see an end to this sort of thing please follow my link and let these people in the Ivory towers know that we will not stand for it, enough is enough. I have written a letter to the Daily Mail and I signed it "disgusted, Garelochhead". It's not much but it's a start.
Wise and righteous words, DevAdvocate. I once saw a similar (and yet strangely different) sort of thing and was right proper disgusted. The sooner this sort of stuff is angrily outlawed, the better. I think the threat is sufficiently vague to require roadblocks and firm police action in response. Anything less would be an admission of defeat. It shocks me that people don’t take this more seriously. (I've signed the petition and have also written to a number of powerful people demanding they investigate my very general sense of unease.)
I've a mind to sign this petition too, I hate it when this type of thing happens, and who the hell do these people think they are anyway? The sooner we get this type of thing stopped the better.
It's heartening to know that several like-minded individuals are also concerned about this issue, the sooner we act the sooner we will see an end to this sort of thing. If anyone else has ideas for a petition or one they would like me to sign then point me to it. Shame on the do nothings who have voiced their stupid pointless opinions on here (you know who you are), I find that pretty much typical of the crutch of your pants below the knees lackaday attitude to things that are good for you, but you don't care. Who do you think you are letting people like Psycho, and Dorty Mag and more importantly ME do your work for you, you lazy shiftless bastards. I've a good mind to get another petition going to get people like you on community service.
