Has seemingly slotted straight in at Spurs, I think the move is going to work out great for him.......bastard. Only pre-season but he is currently proving to AVB that what he does well he really does well, consistently. Last week he made his debut in a friendly against a lower league London club (can't remember who) And scored. Against the New York Red Bulls yesterday he delivered the corner from which Gareth Bale scored his header. Then the Americans equalised. 64th minute up steps Siggy cutting in from the left wing to curl one in from distance. If it wasn't for that **** Rodgers we would have had the bargain of the last few seasons at £6.8 million. Watch him excell this season.
Yeah, already selected him for my Fantasy League team. Fancy him to have a great season. If I was a Liverpool fan I'd be a bit bemused that Rodgers tried to hijack our deal without actually offering him any more money than we had already agreed with him.
"If it wasn't for that **** Rodgers" Wrong wrong wrong. Siggy chose not to come to us. He was never our player, but could have been if he'd wanted. He had many many options and last time I looked didn't follow Rodgers. We've managed to get a great player on loan and another real bargain in Chico Flores. Concentrate on what we've got ffs and stop crying over spilled milk. Sick to death of posters looking at negatives on this board. We have a lot to look forward to. I have no interest in the player or Spurs, Liverpool or Rodgers other than in the context of the Premiership and how they compete against us. Let it go.
I believe that had Rodgers stayed Siggy would have signed. He would have signed before Spurs had the chance to bid. ...and I'll call Rodgers a **** if I so wish, that is exactly what he has proved himself to be. Should have stuck to the agreement as he promised. I'm as positive as any regarding us, that doesn't mean that what just happened didn't happen or Siggy doesn't exist. I'll comment on him if I damn well please.
Feel free. I actually agree that Rodgers' reneging on the agreement does make him deserve all the brickbats he gets. I'm with you on that. But I think we can actually get better without Rodgers, and others who I normally disagree with on here (such as Dragon) seem to think the same thing. Being bitter and bemoaning our 'bad luck' is starting to piss me off big time. That's football. We've always had one downer only to be followed by an improvement in our fortunes straight after. I think this is one of those times. Let's be a bit more upbeat about our club and our future and not concentrate on a player who was never ours anyway and a manager who imo will be gone from Liverpool by Xmas. You want to keep moaning? Carry on.
Not much to be gained from bemoaning Sigurdsson not being a Swansea City player. He probably would have signed had Rodgers not left, but perhaps he wouldn't have. There's no way of knowing. So come on terror, spare yourself an ulcer, and forget about them. Mr. Laudrup will put a smile on your face very soon, when he unveils his new signings. Always look on the bright side--you could be a bloob.
It isn't Rodger's fault that Siggy went back on what he was going to do and not sign. It was an unfortunate side effect of BR moving to a bigger club, it wasn't done on purpose. Even if Rodger's stayed Spurs may have already came in for him just as he was about to have his medical and turned his head or plenty of other things could have happened that would of prevented him signing for Swansea, but its a tad unfair to say its Rodger's fault as if he went out his way to stop Siggy signing. He scored an absolute belter last night. Rodgers will regret not signing him for Liverpool and in years to come the fans will look back at his decision with derision.
