    this just is nowhere near good enough. the whole place is a mess. we have one of the biggest squads in the league, the biggest bank balance and yet a worse team than half the league and a worse team than last season. the recruitment in the summer was a joke, especially the striker hunt. we went from not paying bristol city what they wanted for maynard to offering 7m for shane long then apparently the same on jelavic before panic buying beckford on deadline day. ball, pantsil and johnson were needless signings. we had high hopes for this season but we are an embarassment. of all the players we could have signed in the summer, we could have picked the best in the championship and spent half the money. the likes of andros townsend, jimmy kebe, shola ameobi, jordan rhodes, albert adomah, marvin emnes, peter whittingham, danny guthrie could have been easily in our sights, along with todays match winner bily sharp and i hope the likes of these are on our radar in january.

    lloyd dyer steve howard richie wellens andy king paul gallagher still playing still not good enough even with 2 years of big bucks to play with we have half our team made up of players who started the 09-10 season who are at best average champo players and at worst just nowhere good enough for an assault on the top 6 or higher.

    we have gone from drawing away games under sven to losing them under nigel. and we have another problem. sven had his favourites like vassell and abe who would play even if not in form, and now nigel has resorted to bringing back dyer and howard and always playing gallagher even if they are not in form. we are back to square one and are in desperate need of spending the riches we have on decent players who will get us up.

    i expect every one to come back saying im a moaning old git but you all know im right, this season has been a shambles and nowhere near good enough.

    Whilst I think expectations were way too high in the summer, this is still a massively disappointing first half of the season. I think we were doing OK (minus the Millwall & Bristol City defeats) but when Sven was sacked, I said forget promotion. Nigel came in and many of the players Sven signed don't suit Pearson's style, hence he is falling back on his old and tired midfield. I don't think the season is over, but Pearson has got 31 days in Jan to sort this out, otherwise let's look to next season. It's not a disaster if this does happen though. We've waited eight years to taste Premiership football, I'm sure another 18 months won't hurt.

    Gallagher and Dyer weren't / aren't the solution to us not winning games I totally agree.

    I thing is we cant blame Nigel for this, he has inherited a bunch of players with no system for them to play in. We have too many midfielders and no wingers. 2 Decent strikers and no decent back up

    The defence and Schmeichel are solid though

    Defo too early to blame Nige. Gotta wait until he's had time to bring his own players in.

    I'm sick of it too. Agree with everything that has been said. They are just a lorry load of money grabbing passengers. Roll on January then with a bit of luck NP can get shot of at least half this lorry load and bring in some players who will take pride in the game, Club and Fans. Because this pithy lot are certainly not.

    nope we def cant blame nigel for this i do agree, but he continually picks the useless wellens, king and gallagher, and then wonders why we lose games, its like playing with 8 men, and the most annoying thing about it is, that everbody on the terraces can see it, but nobody seems to wanna do anything about it....................

    I'm laughing too! These muppets all gloating that they'd win the league comfortably. Come back and take our manager, we're playing better football now he's gone. It's positively hilarious.

    At least when youre playing fluid, fast attacking football it must take the edge off a defeat like todays? Could be worse, couldn't it?

    Ahhhh haha haaaaaa

    Who ever you sign it's allways a risk , players like Maynard can do good at one club and fail at another . That's football .. I'm sure NP will sort things out and you will grab a play off spot ...There's loads of points to play for yet ..enjoy the rest of the season and stop being all doom and gloom ...

    <ok>
    Yeah, we need to back what we got, NP is the man who will get us promoted, i still think we will be in the top 6 at the end of the season.

    You know its got bad when other supporters are more optimistic for us than we are! <laugh>
