I've supported Sunderland since i was old enough to! My earliest memory was the season we were relegated to division 3!!! I must have been about 7 years old! Never have i been more disillusioned with them! Its getting to the stage where I'm starting to think 'meh!!!' I do care of course but the downright predictibility of it all is starting to get me down!
Now during my quarter of a century of torment we have been a hell of a lot worse off in the past!! But I accepted that! Do you know why? Cos, barring one or two exceptions, for most of them seasons we have been a big steaming pile of ****e! It was par for the course! However the major difference at the moment is that we should not be crap! For probably the first time we have got decent players! Probably the best set of players/manager that we have had in my lifetime! Hence why I feel so let down! We have the players capable of performing! If we had 13 points at this stage and put in a few good performances, and just been unlucky, I would be able to accept that! But the bottom line is that we have not outright deserved to win a single game all season! If anybody but MON would have been manager i suspect they would have been sacked by now! I put myself in this bracket....I have been willing to give him more time but after each game I am beginning to run out of excuses! 2 or 3 games ago I didnt want rid of him! Now I am 50/50 and at the 'meh' stage! But where we go from there....**** knows!
    In conclusion....Typical Sunderland!

Just to add - i'm sure 90% of us (i know i did) thought it was a fantastic appointment. Sadly it looks as if, for whatever reason, that Martin is possibly no longer the force he was as a manager.

I'm sure the club hierarchy are as dumbfounded as most fans are.

We may just have to accept the reality of the situation and start all over again.

It just looks like he's hoyed the towel in.

3 chances, all to Fletcher (2 headers and a shot), worth noting. What else.. nowt. Even an improving Sessignon is trying to beat men twice instead of early balls into the danger area. Where are the midfield runners? Colback is like Hendo-another crab. Larson and Gardner do nothing constructive of note. Bardsley, a bit of a headless chicken trying 30-yard drives when better options are on. AJ, trying but getting nowhere. As for McClean...two good crosses...wow!! Mig, Rose and Fletch are excellent. We need a sneaky, constructive midfielder. What's Florent Malouda doing? Dreading the Reading game.

I have supported SAFC since I can remember - first game was in 67 but I got home from the "game" last night and thought "I have just wasted 5 hours of my life". I wasn't sure about his appointment but have supported MON since he came and thought he would make us into a reasonably successfull club. His negative tactics and inability to see that this is not working is now getting frightening. Thought I would hang fire last night and let the emotions die down before posting but I still feel the same way ffs 1 up top against the bottom placed club and even then he was playing on the half way line half the time. God help us

All the ingredients are there for us to be a solid mid table, entertaining, occasionally awful, possibly flirting on the outskirts of European qualification, but not a relegation threatened side! But its just not to be! And for that reason I just want to punch a random somebody in the face!
