quite an impressive performance today by the shrews against a strong leicester team. i suspect problems ahead for leicester. we thought we had left teams like leicester behind in league 2 last season. oh dear floreat salopia! bring on wolves and leeds
Aah, well done. Thought this one would come up at some point. Crawley, the side who have just had back to back promotion so are buoyed through cup competitions with confidence. The same Crawley side that had knocked out 2 Championship sides before us, and took Manchester United near enough all the way at Old Trafford only to lose 1-0 when a chance went begging near the end which would have equalized. Yes we did lose to them, and I'm not ashamed, as the difference between you losing to Shrewsbury and us losing to Crawley is that Leicester had fielded near enough your first side whereas Barmby took Crawley for granted and played a lot of youngsters and fringe players - as we knew he would. So a strong Crawley side beat a young inexperienced Hull side whereas a mediocre Shrewsbury beat a strong Leicester side.
Yes we did. I aren't afraid to admit I'm annoyed that Barmby decided to take Crawley for granted and we suffered a humiliating loss. What about you? How you feeling about that result looking at your starting lineup?
