this saturday the basement club visit the greenhous meadow to face town who have suffered 1 defeat in 10 games. form -------- lost to preston, carlisle, mkd and stevenage. drew at walsall and won away at sheff utd. the last 2 results should give town cause for concern. hotshots. -------------- most players have more feet than goals, but defender howard has score 3. league --------- p25 w2 d6 L17 f18 a46 gd -28 12 points away form ---------- w1 d3 L9 f10 a26 on paper this looks a banker home win but could the walsall and sheff utd results bite shrews on the bum? prediction --------------------- shrews 0 h/pool 0 att 7025 prove me wrong shrews! er floreat salopia!
6,543 happy Shrews to watch Town win 3-1 with Richards, Rodgers and 'the new boy' to score......or is it the returning prodigal son......welcome back Mack!
We have somewhat a selection headache for saturday, and I'm guessing Wildig and Hall will be bench warming.
That may work.....if they get to come on later they may play better as they will be fighting for their places???? I think that's why Bradshaw may be better doing 35 mins rather than all 90 or just 5 at the end.
i put a high att. figure in case some long lost fans were sympathetic to the club losses of 275k compared to a profit of 20k in november 2010. in theory town should win. fs
I go for 2-0 to Town with Morgan and Mcginn scoring (crowd 5900). Rodgers has looked a bit leggy recently so I would like Bradshaw to start. The two Mcs will probably start in midfield. We could even see Gornell back if terms cannot be agreed with Rochdale but I just hope this is not Taylor's last game for us as surely he would not turn down the chance to move to a club like Crystal Palace.
Shrewsbury 2 - 0 Hartlepool ( McGinn, Taylor) attendance 5,856 Hopefully Marvin will be fit for tomorrow as he has had the manflu all week! if not Tom Bradshaw time to show what you can do!!
Shrewsbury 2 v 0 Poolies. Rodgers McGinn 6250 On this cold and snowy day I hope to see a town win. Come on you blu-u-es!!!!
well this sounded a pathetic match. 2 poor teams? can we take any positives from the game. with many tough games ahead one wonders if dropped points against the flotsam, will ensure shrews may rejoin the flotsam. a win today and we would have been chasing preston and walsall, instead the gap widens. i wonder how many scouts were at the meadow today. can we hang on to taylor, morgan and our number one goalie. time will tell.
Atcham, GT says there have been no enquiries for Taylor and he will stay. I think Morgan is happy with us and hopefully we can put his performance yesterday down to being ill all week. We are threadbare in the striker department and desparately need a new player in this week. Without an experienced League 1 striker I think we are likely to get sucked back in to the relegation battle.
