Burton Albion. Sort of the form team in the League with no win in 12, but their acquisitions of Ainsworth and someone else in midweek will quite possibly give them a lift. Ainsworth won't be able to play against us - nice to see there has been some point to Jake Robinson's existence - but the other guy will, so he might be alright. Results managed to go our way in midweek despite our failure to win; we will rise to second if we win our games in hand. Torquay are level on points with us though, and Crawley will go above us if the rediscover the lost art of winning games and win both their games in hand. However, I think they'll struggle to - no win in 5, didn't look dangerous up front against us and Steve Evans is a twat. As for the Town team, I'd imagine there'll be one change. I have no idea what it'll be, but there you go. I can't do everything. Richards might go to LB, McGlaughlin at RB and Wroe in the middle, but who knows. All I know is that whenever Richards gets the ball within 40 yards of their goal, it's scoring range and there'll be cries of "SHOOT!". good one lenny. is it too much to ask gt to play wroe from the start . 2 hard fought games has produced 2 points we need 3 on saturday and a goal fest. shrews 5 brewers 1 wroe, wright, collins 2 richards att 5333,
Good work Lenny - we must win games like this if we are to get automatic promotion. I agree the admirable Wroe must start -I would drop Taylor and play an extra man in midfield. Games are rarely straightforward in this league but we need to start fast and use Marvin's pace to unseetle them. I predict 3-0 to the Shrews and hopefully every Salop fan in the ground will get fully behind every player in blue and amber for all of the game.
I did go that way Matt, but the other direction back onto the road/roundabout climbing the fence. Why? Were we closer than expected? I was with some duffers and a teacher from school.
No I just chatted to someone young and tall with a slight welsh borders accent as we walked back to my car and as million to one chances happen quite often...
That sounds like what i've been described as. However I was going the other way chanting "His head is like an egg" while my schoolmates shrivelled their noses
surely kds is not, what shrew, in disguise. i think we should be told. indeed if town were to lose on saturday, the question of towns bad luck emblem will come to the fore. come on you shrews breath on 'em, floreat salopia, er 5-1
Yes, WhatShrew did indeed go through a spell of predicting Town loses, but for the greater good, it must be said. KDS is his own man though, alas I fear WhatShrew is no more (I miss him). The King is dead, long live the King! Men o'Salopia 3 - Burton 0 (T. Kelly, Wilding, Meredith) 5, 562
Atcham, Macallister had a really good game so perhaps Wroe was not needed but I do think we pass the ball much better with Wroe in the side and I suspect he will still have a major impact in some games before the end of the season.
The strength in depth has given GT a selection headache! Gornell for example has not been scoring many recently, but when he was brought on on Saturday he did some really nice footy that had their defence going around in circles.
