if uncle graham gets town into L1 next august which of the squad could help town in L1 to find a mid table position. i will name 6 there are others of course.bevan sharps raven, bradshaw davies and johnson

likewise who of the existing squad would you thank and bid farewell to in may?

Bevan and Johnson? I don't think they are in our squad. Bevan is at Torquay, Ben Smith is our goalie of the moment. I'm guessing you mean Jon Taylor too. I think the defence is pretty good, perhaps another tough CB and an up and coming LB or RB. Central Midfield is still missing something to help connect up with the strike force. I like Collins and bradshaw but think we need something else up front.

sorry i meant ben smith in goal, he had little to do on saturday but prevented stockport from scoring on a few occasions. difficult to rate harrold in 10 minutes play, but he certainly added no bite to a woeful second half attack. and who am i confusing johnson with. the person i am thinking of is a youngster who came on a few games back and started scoring goals. i do not think harrold has a long term future at shrews. could be wrong

quite right matster i knew there was a john there somewhere. substitute john taylor for johnson. now we are motoring. i think it was the excellent pa and music in the ground that is still doing my head in. another question, robbo is still a shrews player, do we need him back to play possible league 1 football, answers on a postcard to gt etc
catch us if you can, fs coys, ctrb

I think we might need one experienced proven striker( Jo Kuffour for instance if the gas go down) but don't forget about not only Robbo(despite his inconsistencies!) but Elder- both can be like new signings <ok>

And we STILL havent fixed the CM- a matchwinner to partner davies would be the final puzzle piece IMO

O and there's a lot more to come from Collins and Bradshaw, as long as the former works on his touch

Personally, I'd like to see Donaldson from Crewe down here. He looks a quality striker..

Robinson is out of contract in the summer and I suspect we have seen the last of him. He is too old to qualify as a compensated player if he moves, so there is no reason as to why he should be offered a new contract.

Hopefully Elder will prove a bonus and Harrold will still be under contract. I would like to see Grandison converted to midfield. Sadler would be worth keeping but I fear his wage demands would be too great and Raven is certainly worth another year. Disley or McIntyre would be worth keeping as a squad player.

I hope Sadler will realise the worth of playing regular football for 50k a year and not holding out for a 'better' offer that might not turn up.

Oh and I'd agree on Grandison being tested in midfield.

Rocky congrats on hitting 1k posts.

Harrold with us next season, so we don't need to worry about him knocking liars of goals in to league 1 teams nets.

The only thing that is certain is that it will be tense and painful to watch for one of us!
