After garnering a lifetimes knowledge about your own team should you use that insight to make a financial profit when defeat seems likely or even inevitable ?
I dont gamble, been in a bookies maybe 5times my whole life. Made a few online but just not into it, I like at least a sore nose and a hangover if I end up with **** all in my pockets namean.
Ok here is an example; Leeds v Derby 2nd leg of the play offs...we're 1-0 up after the 1st leg but Derby are odds of 9/1 to win (not qualify). Do you offset the potential disappointment of defeat by receiving a financial windfall ?
Would imagine Sunderland have also been priced incorrectly by the bookies over the last few seasons ? Have you cashed in on the opportunities ?
I have never had any interest in gambling money. I think i've been into a bookies twice in my life. I am often open to dafter bets for a laugh, like an eyebrow or something stupid. But have never been a money gambler.
I used to bet against us every week in league one which gave me some beer money if we ****ed it up, Rochdale in particular gave me a good return. Insurance innit. Also had a bet on my recentish trips to Liverpool and City of each of them -3, which paid for my trip both times as we lost 6--1 & 4-0.
I rarely bet on an Everton game, either way, as I feel I’d jinx them if I back a win, and backing them to lose doesn’t feel right to me. So I generally swerve, unless it’s BTTS.
