Got to keep them both if possible, maybe they will consider another loan deal for Brady, we might have a good chance of signing King.
Yes to both of them. Both show talent and potential of more to come. They're the kind of players we need more of, players who can create something. If we have enough of them in the squad then the chances are one will be performing well at any one time. I'm pretty confident we'll get Brady, it was widely recognised that he signed a new deal with United in January just so that they could get a fee for him from us at the end of the season. Unless Nick decides he doesn't want him, I think he'll be the first player we sign. I think King will be harder because judging by the fact he's been at Monchengladbach I'd suggest someone somewhere rates him a bit higher than Brady. I'd happily see us loan him for a further year.
I'd sooner take them than the lower league players you see mentioned, without being too harsh on the likes of Mclean it's like a step up too far for him at times, whereas the Man U lads seem to treat it as a step down and a chance to show their skills. People were on about that Mckail-Smith too weren't they, not sure the money we would have spent on him would have been worth it.
No, but as I have neither the resources or the contacts of the scouts employed by the club, I don't think that they're necessary anyway
I'm another in the neither camp. I haven't seen enough from either of them that would make me want to sign them. In fact, I'd say they've been disappointing. Crossing has been largely poor, end product has again been poor, goal return again poor. Not sure on the alternative options, but surely there has to be better available.
I would keep King only and sign Hammill in the summer. Stewart and Hammill on both wings with King on the bench
Coppinger at Doncaster and Henry at Millwall have both proved to be consistent performers at this level and can both deliver a decent cross.
There's no point signing people who can cross a ball until we decide we're going to sign someone who can get on the end of them. Brady's crosses are actually good from a technical position (it's even something me and istplt have agreed on from the beginning), it's just pointless for us because with nobody in the middle to connect with them it means there's no end result for the team. It obviously depends on the prices being asked and on who else we plan to sign, but I'd go for King to play up front on a permanent, and Brady on loan for another season with an option to buy.
Agree. Both are 2/3 years being ready for Man Utd if ever,, imo. Both on further season long loans would be perfect.
Do both go together i wonder ? When King was interviewed a while back he referred to Brady being here that made the move happen. King also knows the lads well and has settled easily as most do here. Why change it when you enjoy it. ?
