I'd take a trio from QPR. Caulker, Phillips and Austin. A CB, winger and Striker, all shown potential in this league, and it would be good if they all came together, and all in our price range.

It could be good to keep these players together for chemistry. Also, as far as I'm aware, they're all english!

We need some creativity and Phillips looked excellent towards the end of this season.

Caulker is a potential long term captain at the back. Strong, powerful, and could be decent along side Coloccini.

Chemistry? QPR players looked like they barely knew each other for most of the season!

McClaren worked with them briefly before going to Derby, he'll know which lads are worth having.

Agree with others here about Caulker. He's never convinced me whenever i've seen him play.

Big yes to Austin & Phillips.

That's something that I hadn't thought about - but confirming McLaren could help us get Austin. (just trying to get into the positive mood that seems to have taken over everyone)

I think he will know Austin and Phillips, he was there briefly with them, but they signed Caulker last summer if I'm not mistaken.

It gets better - that's the two out of those three I'd be pleased for us to sign.

Austin is slightly over-rated, the hype seems out of control now Shearer's chipped in. But he's good. And the ball sticks.

Caulker is, for me, a real donkey. CB's are a hard commodity to get right, but that doesn't mean we should go out knowingly making our situation worse.

Phillips jury's out. I don't follow QPR, he's looked ok in fits and starts but so did Junior Hoillett, perhaps more-so, at Blackburn.

I'm not sure on any of them. They are all middle of the road players for me. I don't think you could hang your hat on any of them with any certainty. Austin is probably the best of the 3 but he is a mid table type striker. Of course that is better than what we have.

I think Philips is the lone bright spot in that team bar Austin. I'd take both. Philips and janmaat on the same side is a lot of service for Austin/ayoze. Plus when's the last time we had a winger capable of getting a few goals?

From my understanding of Phillips is that menatlly he is weak and may not cope within our goldfish bowl!
Caulker seems a bit like Saylor but without the injuries.
Austin - yes but we need wingers if we get him!

Austin maybe, the other two NO.
Does Two successive relegations for Caulker not say something about him?
Philips, does looking half decent in a poor team make him any better than the current lot?

Austin & Phillips I would take for sure. Thought Caulker was alright at one point but I think he's been shown up a bit. QPR were a total horror at the back all season. We need an organiser and preferably a hard nut at CB. Some eastern block clone of Vidic in his prime would be just the ticket!

I'd take Austin, Phillips, and their young fullback, Furlong. I work with a QPR fan and he has nothing but good things to say about the young right back. We are also in dire need of cover in this area.

Caulker was at a newly promoted side in Cardiff who went under a some managerial problems. They also were a side that really lacked quality.

QPR are just a **** club top to bottom. They've had good players but **** managers, **** dressing room.

Caulker has had experience has captain, and you don't get made a captain at 21/22 unless you have something of value.
