So for the first time in 1000 years we have 3 senior strikers fit all at the same time.

We have Suarez. He bring goals, creativity, passion, versatility, skill, brilliance and pretty much every thing else.

We have Sturridge. He brings pace, strength, movement, chases for rebounds and forward runs.

We have Borini. He brings energy, hard work, good movement and the ability to drop into wide midfield areas.

We line up with 433. This has mostly be done with a front three of Sterling, Suarez and Downing. But Sterling is young, has played more then he is used to and has slowed down in form. Downing is inconsistent at best and hasnt produced any where near enough.

Apart from Suarez this front three is not producing any where near half the goals it needs to be.

We have lacked goals all season and players have not been getting in the box any where near enough. Is the best way to fix this by using all three strikers?

Suarez on the right with freedom to move around and work his magic.

Borini on the left, working space, getting in the box.

Sturridge in the middle making forward runs, getting in the box, feeding on forward passes, running at defenders and providing the pace and steel.

With every one able to interchange roles through out the game to suit the ever changing scenarios.

    -------Suarez------Sturridge-------Borini------

The down side to this is we will not have a striker on the bench (unless another is signed) and it will not have as much width.

But if the rumours are true about one of Gamairo and Sow joining, this may be just what Rodgers has in mind.

These three will have to play narrow with Johnson and Enrique offering us width - I think we'll score more.....and concede more! <ok>

    As long as we win...

In this system it is very importaant that our centre backs part and Lucas drops in between to give us a full enough defense.

Of course we do have to remember Borini has been out injured for a while. So if he doesnt start a game for a few more weeks we cannot be to irritated by it.

I was surprised to see Borini actually get some minutes. Looked pretty decent and linked pretty well.

I think Borini is best suited to CF as I can;t see him proving any creativity from the wings.

But one thing is for sure - Sturridge and Suarez must both start.

Sorry lads but I disagree. I do see the reasoning behind your arguments and have some sympathy with them. However, if we play all 3 at the same time from the off, we have no way of changing the game as we did yesterday. So play 2 of the 3 as starters and add or substitute as required.

Borini actually looked good when he came on imo. He was coming inside and deep to get the ball and looked much more useful out wide that Downing.

A turd on the pitch would be more useful than Downing

Sterling. A fresh Stirling as an impact sub could be a great weapon.

I'm not sure I have come across a player who just doesn't want to contribute in a game. He is clearly playing within himself and is afraid to step up. He may have the ability to be a top 4 player but he certainly does not have the mentality of one.

Although it is tasty, I will have to lean with Dave on this one. Can't have all 3 on at the same time. IF so, it is a big gamble and back to damned if he does, damned if he doesn't with Rodgers.

Think if we can get a decent enough winger in we have the options to change as we need.

    No.

Borini shouldn't start until he learns basic ball control, passing and shooting.

He works hard. He moves into the right positions... but he isn't very good with the ball yet.

Let him get his practice and learn how to kick a ball at Melwood. He's a poor man's Kuyt... a really poor man's Kuyt.

I definately think Stur and Suar should both start. They look like they have a great understanding already. Suarez has the creativity that Sturridge doesn't but Sturridge looks like he knows where to be to score and knows how to score.

We need some pace and width in the team, can't play all three. Sturridge and Suarez could work, with drifting wide and back inside - providing we stretch the other side.

  19. When everyone is fit and ready to go, I'd go with...

    Reina
    Johnson - Skrtel - Agger - Enrique
    Gerrard- Lucas - Henderson
    Suarez - Sturridge - Sterling

But Sterling should not be playing every game, I'd alternate him with Borini and Downing depending on the game and opponents.

Imo. Regular starters should be louis + sturridge + stirling/a n other. Borini should generally be used from the bench. Rarely if ever should all three start.
