Personally, I think he's shown enough to prove that he's got a valuable contribution to make to this team. I think he and Rosicky bring out the best in each other too. Yossi is a hard working skillful player, who's chipped in with some really valuable goals.

I think he's due to report back to Chelsea for pre season. But I can't see him featuring in their plans. He'll be in the last year of his contract next season too, so I think we could get him for around £2m - £3m

    What do you think ?

For 2Million i reckon we should snap him up. He been playing really well for us since getting a 1st team place and is an actual Goal threat unlike Rosicky, Gervinho ect.

He was the only player who looked like he was up for it in the past few week despite the fact he isnt an Arsenal Player. Some others could learn a thing or 2 from him and frankly his efforts puts others to shame.

  3. Depends on wages - if we have to pay hime £70k per week, then no. If he will take £30k, then yes.

I never know why Benny gets passed around so much. Whenever he plays, he always does a good job. I'd sign him up as backup/sub.

I think we should sign him on 2yr deal. He is willing to put in a shift, has tons of experience ticks all the boxes, Wenger will probably say, it will kill Diaby, Gerv if we sign him!

Yup, his wage will make a difference.

After yesterday's game, Yossi went on twitter and thanked all of the fans and a few players - Wilshere, Afobe and a few others, all wished him well and said how great it was to train with him etc. It seems like he's a hard worker and fits in well with the team and his tweets suggest that he respects the club and his role as a utility player.

Obviously he's not a starter and signing him won't much a huge difference to us but if we got rid of Denilson or Arshavin and traded their squad place for Yossi, I think we'd be stronger :emoticon-0148-yes:

Very underated player imo, never thought he was really given a chance at our place, would have liked to have seen him more with Torres.

I think both he and Arteta showed the benefit of signing experienced, quality players over the younger, talented and ultimately more expensive options that you guys on here are usually crying out for. He's had a good season for you guys, pitching in goals at crucial times and consistency that you don't see from younger players, I can't see why you wouldn't sign him.

Surely he wouldn't have taken him this season if he thought that was the case ?

As for wages, I think he'd be on far less at Arsenal than at Chelsea. It would depend on whether he'd accept a reduction. If he got regular games, then I think he might. To be honest, it doesn't look like he's going to stay at Chelsea, so wherever he goes, he's looking at taking a pay cut.

I think he's a good squad player, every time he has come in he has done a job. If he is happy being a squad player I'd be happy to see him remain at Le Arse.

Agree totally. The experience factor is another reason why I think trying to sign the likes of Dempsey would only be a good thing for us. I'd like to sign Benny but, like Jayram said, only for sensible wages.

I would love to sign him as long as he's not wanting much money wise. Always rated him and he's done well for us.

He'd be a fantastic squad player, always works hard and rarely gets things wrong.

He should be available for a decent price (contract running out next year) and if players like Denilson, Diaby or Bendtner are on 60k a week at this club, I wouldn't see why Benayoun shouldn't have decent wages, too. Obviously we can't match Chelsea, but I think Yossi would see more opportunities to play at Arsenal than at Chelsea.

Only problem would be that he has no resale value, but we need quality on the bench at this moment not just potential.

Yes. Good player that does not mind sitting on the bench. Need players like him in the squad.

I'd say no. He is not good enough defensively for a midfield spot and that left-sided forward spot is getting a lot of upgrades this year.

Where is he going to play? Ahead of Podolski, Ox, Wilshere, Rosicky???????

Abso-bloody-lutely, he was outstanding on Sunday by far the most creative midfielder we have and puts in a real shift, puts people like Gervinho and Rosicky to shame.

The Ox isn't going to start many games next year, no-one knows if Jack is going to be fit and I would always play him in front of Rosicky

Well tbh i wouldnt mind but it depends on who we recruit this summer as we have to keep in view the 25 man rule. He is.however a great proffesional and a plus to have around the dressing room. Like him as a person and provides much needed experience.
