Let’s face it, they aren’t going to get a game as long as Parkinson is manager. So why not try and get them out to a team in January and give them a chance to develop with first team football instead of rotting away on the bench/under 23’s. Bet Neil is fuming he signed a new deal in the summer, what a waste of talent. I can only assume Parkinson doesn’t rate him as highly as the fans do.
Not just yet, you never know, a few weeks might make all the difference in this takeover saga.....if, as a result of new owners, we get a new manager then these players just might get a real chance. Its terrible they haven't up to now, but currently we have a manager who is to open expansive exiting football as Dot Cotton is to being a Playboy centre fold
Nope just hope that when they get the chance and they will that they grab it and not look back also need them here for when the new man comes in
We've almost got a game every three days in November I don't think Parky will have any choice but to play them. He seems to be picking and dropping players on merit so if they do well I think we'll see more of them throughout the season.
I doubt those 2 will be loaned out this season. But our whole set up with the kids needs to be looked at. Kimpioka should be out on loan, taylor should be out in loan, Mumba should have been out as well when he was here. We don't send them out early enough imo.
I'd like to see Diamond go out on loan. He should be playing regularly somewhere -- other than our U-23's. Unfortunately, we cannot place the long term benefit to the club over the near term because he is only on a one year deal.
let's be honest here, those two should never have been started together, had the others been playing terrible i could accept they were 'dropped on merit' but with leadbitter and scowen we had a much better central pair, most have seen that power and dobson do not work well together yet parky drops the better of the pairings for no real reason (other than some slight fall out that was reported). these young lads really should be at least on the bench and hopefully given 15 or 20 minutes game time...even if they have played a U23 game the night afore, 15 to 20 minutes is hardly going to do major damage...most of us can see that if they do not get that 'promotion' then they will be off as soon as they can..loyalty means nowt to footballers now.
It’s going to be a long season with lots of games resulting in lots of injuries and suspensions so the fickle finger of fate will dictate things to a degree ie Kimpioka who came back to us late did well for the U23 side scoring a few goals . This put him in the frame for a call up to the first team but now we might see him till new year due to injury . Unfortunately he will not be the only one as we have already lost two central defenders prior to Benji’s injury and we are not even a quarter of the way through the season , thankfully we have a large squad compared with other sides in our league which should stand us in good stead , the players are not the quality of previous years but I don’t think many clubs would swap squads . The youngsters will get their chance but may have to wait .
Our position in the table is not too bad, considering we have Jurassic as a manager and 4 non-scoring strikers, that is a reason to be cheerful. However if we are to push on and get promotion imho we need a new manager and pacier forwards. January will be crucial, hopefully new owners and players to have a big push in the 2nd half if the season.
Absolutely this! (Although not sure about “new man comes in as I just don’t see Parkinson being sacked!)
Think this is a excellent point. Have to remember that cliche that it’s a results business. If we go up playing like we are, I’ll be over the moon tbh! that is he biggest of ifs mind! defensively we are pretty solid. That’s exactly where Sam started when he came in. Shored up the defence. still rather play badly and win 1-0 than play scintillating football and lose 5-4
