Surprised those who are delighted with Ranieri wouldn't take Capello. Considering he's got a far better CV. That's what it's all about right? Those numbers on a bit of paper?
... no ... CVs count for nothing ... Mourinho's is complete garbage ... he's just been very lucky ... how many clubs in how many years? ... wouldn't trust him ... suspect he's just looking for one last payday
I think Mourinho's approach of finding a new club, winning everything and then leaving on his own terms is different to being sacked every 18 months...
He got sacked by Chelsea and Real. As for Raneiri, surely you must concede that there must be something good about him if he kept on getting high profile jobs after he was sacked? We are the lowest profile team he has managed in around 20 years.
Which is why I'm personally concerned. Much like Cambiasso last season, he's going to be facing challenges that he's not had to contend with before. Let's hope he does as well as our Argentine talisman.
Actually he kinda has - when he joined Parma they were in the relegation zone and he kept them up and with Juventus and Monaco, they both were in the second division and he got them promoted and challenging for the title the following season.
... guess that depends on the definition of big club ... all the clubs managed have been more successful than us as the history books show ... but Monaco have a much smaller fan base and a ground capacity of 18k .... it also depends on the money you have and can invest ... we are fast catching a number of clubs on that front ..
