What has the Football League, the newspapers and the media (BBC) have against Hull City football club? Bruce didn't get "Manager of the Month" not that bothered me, poison chalice and everything, the newspapers seem to put together a pathetic couple of lines for the team at the top of the Championship and the BBC well what can I say about them I think we should change our name to Leicester or even one of the other teams in the championship they all seem to get more coverage than Hull City. Is it just me or are the "Black and Amber Faithful" all feeling the same?
Other than Leeds getting televised too often, I don't think there's a fat lot difference between our coverage and anyone else's. And no, we shouldn't have changed our name, obviously.
Our next 2 games are live on Sky, the 2 aways after that at Man City & Leeds will also get loads of coverage, Steve Bruce is liked and respected by all pundits, our only problem with the media seems to be Radio Humbersides resident f**kwit Gwilym Lloyd.
To be fair I know what the OP means, I'm sure that we all do, however I get all the City fix that I need on here, from people that know the club...**** the people that don't! Siege mentality.
What is it about people wanting the media crawling up our arse ? I couldn`t give a **** what the media write about, 90% of the time it`s complete bollox, or written to stir **** up. I`ll be quite happy for them to keep their distance instead of buzzing round like flies on ****, we are Hull City, and the fans are proud of it, beyond that I don`t give a flying **** ! Rant over
I'd quite like when we're playing a fellow promotion contender for our game to be ahead of a game between 18th and 19th in terms of coverage in the national press. I wouldn't say that was wanting the media crawling up our arse though. It would be reasonably expected that all the top sides got a little more exposure than lower midtable sides, or at least select matches based on which sides are getting praise for the way they play. In the PL Bournemouth aren't doing well, but if they're attacking and going for it I'd rather watch them against Palace than Newcastle against someone managed by Pulis. If the media want to crawl up the arse of a Championship club that used to be big, Sheff Wednesday would be preferable at the moment as they've been making moves as though they're going to do something, and are getting some results rather than floundering about in relative obscurity as far as the table goes. Maybe it's just me, but I quite like watching football so I want a highlights programme to show me the best football from the games that day, rather than spending almost as long showing a player on the floor and being stretchered off as they give to a whole game that finished 5-2.
Then send the mrs out for supplies. It's only yourself that needs to dig in and look out for yourself, she's acceptable collateral damage and could easily be replaced.
Ah ****, trust Fez to mention food, I'm hanging out for a king prawn fried rice and chinky'll be shut now
Don't worry about the media. At some point they will have to move away from the usual suspects they love to bits. How anyone can say that Derby and Middlesboro are the best 2 clubs in the championship really are a clueless twat at the very least.
