Time to change the rules. Violent conduct, even by United, should be punished. The offending player assisted and scored subsequently; and is free to kick more players with impugnity. We have to send the message out that this petulant behaviour, even if you are Beckham or Rooney, is not acceptble, even if you are not getting your way. The Cardiff could have lost a leg
Did not realise Rooney slammed the Bluebird in the face with a cross arm smash before kicking him too. Now all the Rooney is not bigger than the club brigade is defending him
Yes it should. Regardless of who you support, it's still ridiculously inconsistent that a player can be punished retroactively only if the ref doesn't see it. Problem is it won't happen until Sepp Bluddite gets the boot from FIFA. Or perhaps until an England player gets away with it in an international match.
The Cardiff? oh you mean the Cardiff player... I agree. he could have lost that leg as it could have needed amputation. Not since the second world war and in various civil conflicts have I seen such violence. The worse I have ever seen perpetrated on a football field. Rooney should be banned from football for at least one season....
I'd bet my house if that was Suarez they'd find some way of punishing him retrospectively. #envelopes
They're always 'looking into it' but never do anything. The Torres one was arguably even more of a farce, cos the FA arguably didn't need to act retroactively. He got shown a red card, even if it was for two yellows, so they could have increased the ban for the red, same way red for violent conduct gets three matches but red for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity is only a one match ban. And the bans from red cards can be doubled, or increased by any arbitrary amount, if they think the offence merits it. So they could have punished Torres properly even within the current rules. And apparently now Medel isn't getting punished for smacking Fellaini in the face despite the ref not seeing it. So even the inconsistent FA rules aren't even being applied consistently
Violent conduct? Should have been a free kick to Man U for obstruction. It was only a girlie kick FFS, wouldn't have had a mention in an U13 match
Maybe you didn't watch the incident. Not for the kick, the forearm smash to the face before the girlie petulant kick. I don't know if you live in a cave, but a player called David Beckham, at a tournament called the World Cup got redded for a girlie kick
