Maybe smacks of a little bit of desperation, but after the circus that was Saturday evening, should Vidic come through 60 minutes unscathed on Wednesday night, should he start against ****ty?

Also, I'd be amazed if De Gea wasn't back in goal this weekend after Lindergaard's performance. I've never been a huge fan of Anders, especially when we have such a great shot stopper sitting on the bench.

Dont think he will regardless of him playing v clunge.

However SAF will remember last season Vidic was on his way back come derby day but was left out and we got hammered so maybe he will put him in and hope for the best.

My concern is it may take Vidic a few games to get back to anywhere near what hes capable of so similar to early season he might be a bit **** anyway.

Best way to beat City is to attack like ****ing nutters.

    Smalling should play.

No Scholes + Giggs in starting line up.
    I wouldn't mind a midfield trio of Carrick--Scholes--Jones/Cleverly/Anderson(if fit).

Fletcher is not there yet. It all depends on the form of the Wednesday team.

Vidic should be on the bench, too early yet to start. De Gea to feature, though I hope he's getting better at dealing with crosses since our number 2 is useless at dealing with them.

    This.

I hope De Gea plays tonight and on Sunday. It's expecting a lot for him to come straight in to Sunday's team with no recent match practice.

Vidic should be no where near the starting lineup, you can't spend many months injured on the sidelines and then start in our biggest match of the season...

I cant for the life of me figure out why De Gea has been dropped. The only thing I can think of is that Fergie wasn't impressed with the first goal conceded against Villa, which is incredibly harsh because it was past him in a flash. Besides, he redeemed himself 5 minutes from time with a brilliant save from Benteke's header.

Is it any wonder the defence look so shaky and are conceding so many goals when we're changing goalkeepers every few games? I would have thought that was obvious to Fergie.

He was originally not playing because he had his wisdom teeth pulled, but he'd only be out for a week tops. No clue why he didn't start the minute he was ready to play.
